Background: The increasing use of non-specific immunoglobulins (NSIGs) and their current shortage show a need for NSIGs' use prioritization. Data from a clinical perspective are necessary, mainly for pediatric patients.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to assess the level of clinical evidence (LoE) of the indications that NSIGs are used for, the reasons for discontinuation, and the costs invested.

Sellar and perisellar meningiomas: effects on pituitary function in a Spanish cohort observational study.

Purpose: Studies focused on the effects of sellar and/or perisellar (S/PS) meningiomas on pituitary function are scarce. The primary objective of the present study was to determinate the effects that S/PS meningiomas and their treatments have on pituitary function. Also, we described the clinical characteristics and therapeutic outcomes of the cohort of adult Spanish patients.

Polygenic risk scores (PRS) offer insights into the relationships between genetic vulnerability, symptomatology, and cognitive impairments. This study used a network analysis to explore the connections between PRS, cognition, psychopathology, and overall functional outcomes in individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis (FEP).

A large-scale screening of hepatitis C among men who have sex with men in the community using saliva point-of-care testing.

Aim: To assess the feasibility and acceptability of massive hepatitis C virus (HCV) testing in point of care on the street using quick tests, determine the characteristics of the population included, and the prevalence of HCV infection in this population.

Methods: Cross-sectional community-based study including adult men who have sex with men (MSM) who attended the three most important LGTB+ events in Sitges (Catalonia, Spain) in 2022. Points of care were set up on tents on the street and attendees were offered voluntary anti-HCV antibody self-testing.

Background: Streptococcus pneumoniae causes invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) in adults. The introduction of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCVs) has reduced vaccine serotypes but has also led to the rise of non-vaccine serotypes. The aim of this study was to analyse pneumococcal lineages and their association with recent changes in IPD among adults in Spain.

Aim: To discuss extended retrorectal abscess secondary to blunt abdominal trauma as a cause of abdominal wall (AW) infection and impairment.

Methods: According to the CARE checklist, we describe a rare case of blunt abdominal trauma with late diagnosis of jejunal perforation with an abscess that extensively dissected the retromuscular space.

Results: A 65 years-old female patient experienced multiple traumas after a traffic collision.
