Introduction: Vericiguat, an oral stimulator of soluble guanylate cyclase, reduces cardiovascular mortality and hospitalisations in patients with heart failure (HF) and reduced ejection fraction, as demonstrated in the VICTORIA trial. This study assessed the real-world use of vericiguat.

Material And Methods: This cross-sectional, prospective and multicenter registry (VERISEC) included 776 patients from 43 centres in Spain between December 2022 and October 2023.

The impact of enhancing vascular access care quality through monitoring and training: A multicentre observational study.

Aim: This study evaluates the impact of monitoring a primary quality indicator and the effect of training on improving the care and maintenance of vascular access devices.

Design: A prospective, quasi-experimental, multicentre study with 10 periodical cross-sections from 2017 and 2020.

Participants: Adult patients hospitalised over 24 h, with or without vascular access device, excluding those in emergency, psychiatry, outpatients or minor surgery units.

Immigrant Health and Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer Disparities: Results From the Spanish Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer Consortium.

Purpose: To better understand immigration disparities among a Spanish Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer (SECOC) subset, according to the country of origin.

Patients And Methods: We selected 250 consecutive participants from the SECOC consortium. Data on baseline patient and tumor characteristics, family history of colorectal cancer (CRC), and follow-up were collected.

A real‑world study of clinical characteristics, treatment sequence and outcomes of patients with non-small cell lung cancer and EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations.

Objectives: EGFR exon 20 insertion (EGFRex20ins) mutations are found in up to 4% of all patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The authors report their experience with twenty-one consecutive patients who presented with symptoms and imaging characteristics of a herniated lumbar disc; of whom, at the time of surgery had a vascular loop instead. The procedure was performed on 14 women and seven men with a mean age of 39 years. Clinical complaints included lumbar aching with one limb overt radiculopathy in all patients; with additional sphincter dysfunction in two cases.

Patients And Methods: Data were extracted from electronic medical records. Eligible participants were aged ≥65, had cataract surgery with one of five different acrylic monofocal IOLs (Alcon AcrySof, AJL LLASY60, Medicontur Bi-flex, IOL Tech Stabibag and Zeiss Asphina), and more than six months baseline data.

Intensive Care to facilitate Organ Donation (ICOD) consists of the initiation or continuation of intensive care measures in patients with a devastating brain injury (DBI) in whom curative treatment is deemed futile and death by neurological criteria (DNC) is foreseen, to incorporate organ donation into their end-of-life plans. In this study we evaluate the outcomes of patients subject to ICOD and identify radiological and clinical factors associated with progression to DNC. In this first prospective multicenter study we tested by multivariate regression the association of clinical and radiological severity features with progression to DNC.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the association between the use of remote patient monitoring (RPM) in patients on automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) and the Standardized Outcomes in Nephrology in peritoneal dialysis (SONG-PD) clinical outcomes.
