Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the real-world efficacy and safety of intra-articular (IA) hyaluronic acid (HA) injections in patients with hip osteoarthritis (OA). Given the increasing burden of hip osteoarthritis and limited evidence supporting viscosupplementation in this context, this research aims to provide valuable insights under real clinical practice conditions.
Patients And Methods: An observational, cross-sectional and retrospective study was conducted in a cohort of patients with hip OA treated with a single injection of HA (Adant One, Meiji Pharma Spain, Spain) from January 2021 to December 2022.

Background: There is a lack of documented cases regarding complications during ECMO transfer in middle-income countries. Using portable ECMO devices facilitates patient transport but entails significantly higher costs, necessitating evidence of their practical utility. This study aims to describe complications during ECMO transfer in Argentina and to compare complication rates between the integrated portable ECMO and non-portable ECMO systems.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can stem from various organic and functional causes but is often linked to vascular health and cardiovascular disease. Limited data exist on how cardiovascular disease markers correlate with objective ED tests like the Nocturnal Penile Tumescence and Rigidity (NPTR) test and Penile Color Doppler Ultrasound (PCDU). : A prospective observational study was performed, and 58 men with ED were assessed using the International Index of Erectile Function-15 (IIEF-15), NPTR test, and PCDU.

Purpose: Proactive risk analyses identify potential risks before they occur, enabling us to pinpoint the most vulnerable aspects of our treatment process, thus promoting safer treatments. The proactive risk matrix methodology assesses the risk from potential errors and failures (initiating events) by evaluating and integrating their frequency, the severity of their potential consequences and the probability of failure of the barriers designed to prevent these consequences. Based on this methodology, the MARRTA project derived a theoretical risk model of advanced radiotherapy treatments and developed software to implement the model and facilitate the risk analysis.

In this study, the fabrication and characterization of Zn-phthalocyanine/gelatin nanofibrous membranes is reported using the electrospinning technique. The membranes exhibit a homogeneous distribution of Zn-phthalocyanine within the gelatin matrix, maintaining the structural integrity and photosensitizing properties of the phthalocyanine. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the electrospun fibers possess diameters ranging results as 100-300, 200-700, and 300-800 nm for Gel, ZnPc/Gel 1, and ZnPc/Gel 2, respectively.
