Twenty five percent of orbital metastasis is usually of unknown primary origin and it requires histopathological and immunohistochemical confirmation. The fine-needle aspiration biopsy of the orbit is an alternative procedure to conventional orbitotomy. The case is presented of a 60 year-old woman with a right orbit tumour mass and neoplastic lesions in her brain and cranium.

Methods: We collected weekly rectal swab samples from patients at 1 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) in Chicago from May 2015 to May 2016. Samples positive for Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae (KPC-Kp) by polymerase chain reaction and culture underwent 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis; relative abundance of the operational taxonomic unit containing KPC-Kp was determined.

Objective: The main objective of this study was to detect the presence of 14 respiratory viruses and atypical bacteria (Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae), via polymerase chain reaction in patients under 18 years old hospitalized due to community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) from Lima, Peru.

Gastric hemangioma as a cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) is a rare event. We present the case of an 83 years old male with a history of abdominal pain, vomiting and melena, along with an 8 Kg weight loss. Infection by the Human T- Lymphotropic virus I (HTLV-1) causes Adult T cell Leukemia-lymphoma (ATLL), being the duodenal involvement rare. Commonly, patients co-infected with HTLV-1 and Strongyloides stercoralis are seen due to the lack of TH2 response found on these patients.
