Introduction: Defining "high-risk bladder" or "high-pressure bladder" involves recognizing the potential for an unsafe lower urinary tract, where dysfunction in storage and micturition can threaten upper urinary tract health, leading to unfavorable outcomes like dialysis, recurrent infections, systemic impact, or mortality.
Methods: ICI-RS was held in Bristol in June 2024, and Think Tank 2 aimed to define research priorities including identifying clinical predictors and developing prevention and monitoring strategies.
Results: Risk factors encompass both congenital and neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction, bladder outlet obstruction, vascular diseases, and inflammatory disorders, but a validated stratification risk is lacking.

Methods: This is a prospective cohort study carried out with individuals who were admitted to a hospital, from July 2021 to May 2022. The evaluations happened in three moments: at hospital discharge, 30 days after discharge and 90 days after discharge.

Aims: The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into functional urology management must be assessed for its clinical utility, but hopefully will change, perhaps to revolutionize the way LUTD and other conditions are assessed, the aim being to offer patients more rapid and effective management which enhances patient outcomes. The aim of this proposal, discussed at the ICI-RS annual meeting, is to evaluate the available evidence on AI and the way it might change the approach to urodynamic (UDS) diagnoses, including overactive bladder syndrome (OAB), and perhaps other LUTDs such as bladder outflow obstruction.
Methods: A compendium of discussion based on the current evidence related to AI and its potential applications in UDS and OAB.

Purpose: This study aimed to summarize the evidence on the teratogenic effects of dipyrone used during pregnancy.
Methods: Databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, Web of Science, Lilacs, SciELO, SCOPUS, OasisBR, and OpenGray) were reviewed until September 2023. We included studies that compared pregnant women who used dipyrone during any gestational period with those who used other analgesics or did not use any analgesics during the same gestational period.

Importance: Despite its implementation in several countries, there has not been a randomized clinical trial to assess whether telemedicine in intensive care units (ICUs) could improve clinical outcomes of critically ill patients.
Objective: To determine whether an intervention comprising daily multidisciplinary rounds and monthly audit and feedback meetings performed by a remote board-certified intensivist reduces ICU length of stay (LOS) compared with usual care.
Design, Setting, And Participants: A parallel cluster randomized clinical trial with a baseline period in 30 general ICUs in Brazil in which daily multidisciplinary rounds performed by board-certified intensivists were not routinely available.

Background: The global population is aging, and the proportion of elderly patients admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) is increasing. In this scenario, achieving a balance between judicious utilization of a limited and high-cost resource and providing optimal intensity of care presents a challenge, given that in very elderly patients, the value of ICU care is uncertain. DNA repair defects (DRD) are associated with higher neoantigen load, which may predict response. Our study explored the potential of DRD for enhanced responsiveness to the ICI nivolumab.

Vancomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic mainly excreted by glomerular filtration. Therefore, patients undergoing hemodialysis tend to accumulate its crystalline degradation product, which has been associated with cross-reaction in commercial immunoassays. Post-prostatectomy urinary incontinence (PPUI) is an important issue in the urological practice and imposes a negative effect on quality of life (QoL). Despite recent technological advances, PPUI remains a common complication and the artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) is regarded as the most effective long-term surgical treatment for moderate-to-severe stress urinary incontinence. Success rates for AUS as defined by a continence status of zero to one pad per day range from 59% to 90%.

There are discrepancies in resources and expertise available between pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) in Brazil that likely significantly impact the clinical outcomes of patients. The goal of this study was to evaluate the impact of telemedicine rounding support in two public PICUs located in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. Our intervention involves telehealth rounds connecting two "level II" PICUs with specialist doctors from a hospital of recognized excellence.
