Circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) can participate in innate repair processes triggered after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We aimed to describe changes in the proteomic profile of circulating EVs between the acute and subacute phases of ICH and to compare the findings depending on outcomes, as an approach to unraveling such repair mechanisms. This was a prospective observational study including patients with non-traumatic supratentorial ICH.

Background: Long-term deterioration in the mental health of healthcare workers (HCWs) has been reported during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Determining the impact of COVID-19 incidence and mortality rates on the mental health of HCWs is essential to prepare for potential new pandemics. This study aimed to investigate the association of COVID-19 incidence and mortality rates with depressive symptoms over 2 years among HCWs in 20 countries during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction: Bipolar disorder (BD) hospitalization rates in children and adolescents vary greatly across place and over time. There are no population-based studies on youth BD hospitalizations in Spain.
Methods: We identified all patients aged 10-19 hospitalized due to BD in Spain between 2000 and 2021, examined their demographic and clinical characteristics, and assessed temporal trends in hospitalizations - overall and stratified by age and presence of additional psychiatric comorbidity.

Context: DNA mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency (dMMR) testing is now recommended in endometrial cancer. Defect identification in the molecules participating in this pathway, or the presence of microsatellite instability, are commonly employed for this purpose. Novel methods are continuously evolving to report dMMR/microsatellite instability and to easily perform routine diagnoses.

Background: Allergy to peanuts and tree nuts is a common cause of food allergy in Spain, with lipid transfer proteins (LTP) being the most frequently recognized panallergen. LTP sensitization often leads to multiple food group sensitivities, resulting in overly restrictive diets that hinder patient's quality of life. This study aimed to assess the tolerance of peanuts and tree nuts (hazelnuts and walnuts) in children sensitized to LTP, potentially mitigating the need for such diets.

Background: Genome-wide association studies of COVID-19 severity have been carried out mostly on European or East Asian populations with small representation of other world regions. Here we explore the worldwide distribution and linkage disequilibrium (LD) patterns of genetic variants previously associated with COVID-19 severity.
Methods: We followed up the results of a large Spanish genome-wide meta-analysis on 26 populations from the 1000 Genomes Project by calculating allele frequencies and LD scores of the nine most significant SNPs.

Background: Bladder cancer is highly prevalent even though its incidence is considerably lower in patients younger than 40 years, thus raising the issue of the influence of age at diagnosis on the natural history of this disease. This study aimed to evaluate the characteristics and progression of young patients with urothelial bladder carcinoma with at least 10 years of follow-up and to compare the results with those of previously reported studies.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study between 1990 and 2007 was conducted.
