A systematic review about the epidemiology of primary progressive multiple sclerosis in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Unlabelled: Novel epidemiological data has appeared in recent years in Latin America (LATAM) regarding the epidemiology of multiple sclerosis (MS); however, most of this information is related to all MS subtypes, and no specific data was collected regarding the primary progressive form of MS (PPMS). The objective of this study was to perform an updated systematic review of the epidemiology of PPMS in LATAM.

Methods: We conducted a systematic review of published epidemiological articles of PPMS from January 1997 to June 2017.
