Objective: To develop and validate a patient-reported definition of acute calcium pyrophosphate (CPP) crystal arthritis in people with crystal-proven CPP deposition (CPPD) disease.
Methods: Consecutive patients with crystal-proven CPPD disease from seven centres across four countries were enrolled in a cross-sectional study. In each centre, patient-reported outcomes on the features of acute CPP crystal arthritis were collected.
Introduction: Since its introduction in clinical practice in 1981, pregnancies conceived by assisted reproductive techniques (ART) are an increasing proportion of all pregnancies, presenting particular challenges.
Objective: To analyze the maternal-fetal outcomes of pregnancies conceived by ART in a single center in Argentina. Material and methods: Retrospective cohort of pregnancies conceived by ART who attended their delivery in a private university hospital through a review of records.

In pediatric intensive care units (PICU), achieving adequate sedation for patients can be a challenging task for healthcare staff. While the use of intravenous sedatives helps improve comfort and treatment tolerance, it is a priority to develop strategies to use in patients who are difficult to sedate. This case study presents the first reported use of inhaled sevoflurane in a patient admitted to a PICU who was unresponsive to conventional intravenous sedatives.

Objective: This study evaluated the association between serologically confirmed prior dengue infection and the subsequent risk of virologically confirmed dengue, severe dengue, dengue hospitalization, dengue-related death and all-cause mortality.
Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, the Cochrane Library and Web of Science were searched for reports of phase III randomized controlled trials of vaccine efficacy that had data about the placebo group and information about prior infections and were published between January 1994 and March 2024.
