- Inframammary fold reconstruction has been under-researched, with no prior biomechanical comparisons of methods until this study assessed a new anchor system against traditional sutures.
- The study involved 57 specimens divided into three groups, and mechanical testing indicated that the anchor system was significantly stronger than the standard suture method, achieving higher ultimate loads and stiffness.
- The results suggest that the anchor system provides superior stability for inframammary fold reconstruction, making it a viable alternative to traditional sutures.

Introduction: Pectopexy, a laparoscopic method for prolapse surgery, showed promising results in recent literature. Further improving this approach by reducing surgical time may decrease complication rates and patient morbidity. Since laparoscopic suturing is a time consuming task, we propose a single suture /mesh ileo-pectineal ligament fixation as opposed to the commonly used continues approach.
