Quality improvement collaborative to optimize heart failure care in patients from a network of clinics in Argentina during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Heart failure (HF) is a major clinical and public health problem associated with significant mortality, morbidity, and health-care costs. Despite the existence of evidence-based guidelines for the optimal treatment of HF, the quality of care remains suboptimal. Our aim was to increase the use a care bundle in 50% of enrolled subjects during their hospitalization and discharge and to reduce their readmission for HF causes by 10%.

Laboratory analysis showed pancytopenia, altered coagulation tests, hypoalbuminemia, and increased acute phase reactants. Computed tomography (CT) of the chest, abdomen and pelvis revealed hepato-splenomegaly and generalized lymphadenopathy.

[Argentine hemorrhagic fever: report of two cases in a non-endemic area].

We present the case of a 38-year-old woman with no relevant medical history, resident of the City of Buenos Aires, who was admitted in hospital for presenting fever, retroocular headache, myalgia, arthralgia, and maculopapular pruritic rash on the back of the hands and feet of 6 days of evolution. Laboratory tests revealed lymphopenia, severe thrombocytopenia, and anicteric hepatitis.
