Background: Biological therapy dose modification is a common practice in the long-term treatment of plaque psoriasis.

Objective: The objective of the study was to determine prevalence, characteristics of patients, effectiveness, treatment survival of secukinumab dose reduction (SEC-DR) strategy and assess its safety and cost implications.

Methods: A retrospective, observational, multicenter cohort study was conducted in patients with plaque psoriasis treated with secukinumab and up to 2 years of follow-up.

Background: patients with cancer are one of the main group of patients on home parenteral nutrition (HPN). Patients with malignant bowel obstruction (MBO) represent a challenging group when considering HPN. At the Ethics Working Group of SENPE ethical considerations on this subject were reviewed and a guidelines proposal was made.

Safety of biologic therapy in combination with methotrexate in moderate to severe psoriasis: a cohort study from the BIOBADADERM registry.

Background: Safety is an important consideration in decisions on treatment for patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis and the study of drug safety is the main purpose of the BIOBADADERM registry. The combination of a biologic agent and a conventional systemic drug [generally methotrexate (MTX)] is a common treatment in clinical practice. However, there is a paucity of evidence from real-world practice on the safety of such combination regimens in the treatment of psoriasis.

Predictive model of resection in endoscopic endonasal approach for pituitary adenomas based on anatomical limits.

Introduction: The aim of this project is to study several anatomical-radiological features of pituitary adenomas obtained from preoperative radiological images and to analyze their relationship with the extent of resection achieved through the endoscopic endonasal approach. The second objective was to create a prediction model of the extent of resection.

Material And Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 105 patients.

The aim of the study was to assess the long-term effectiveness and safety of secukinumab in Spanish patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis in a daily practice setting. Nationwide multicenter, observational, retrospective, non-interventional, single-cohort study including patients who initiated treatment with secukinumab in daily clinical practice conditions. Subjects were followed for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 24 months.

Palliative care provides a holistic approach and care for patients with a terminal illness and their families. In palliative care physical complaints as well as emotional, social and spiritual aspects are considered. Nutritional care should be also considered within palliative support.

Nail Psoriasis.

Nail involvement in psoriasis is common. It is seen in up to 80% of patients with psoriatic lesions and may be the only manifestation in 6% of cases. Nail psoriasis is correlated with more severe disease, characterized by earlier onset and a higher risk of psoriatic arthritis.

Practical Update of the Guidelines Published by the Psoriasis Group of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (GPs) on the Treatment of Psoriasis With Biologic Agents: Part 2 - Management of Special Populations, Patients With Comorbid Conditions, and Risk.

Background And Objectives: Since its inception, the Psoriasis Group (GPs) of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) has worked to continuously update recommendations for the treatment of psoriasis based on the best available evidence and incorporating proposals arising from and aimed at clinical practice. An updated GPs consensus document on the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis was needed because of changes in the treatment paradigm and the approval in recent years of a large number of new biologic agents.

Methodology: The consensus document was developed using the nominal group technique complemented by a scoping review.

Moderate to Severe Psoriasis in Pediatric and Young Patients: The BIOBADADERM Registry Experience.

Childhood-onset psoriasis generally follows an indolent course but patients with moderate or severe disease may require systemic treatment. The aim of this study was to determine the relative proportion of children and young people aged up to 21 years with moderate to severe psoriasis in the BIOBADADERM registry and to analyze the characteristics of these patients, treatments used, and adverse events. Of the 3946 patients in the registry, 24 were aged 21 years or younger.

Impact of a clinical pathway on cardiovascular risk in patients with diabetes.

Objectives: Clinical pathways (CPs) are interventions that target the way clinical practice guidelines are applied. They can be implemented in different diseases, including diabetes. In this study we evaluated the impact of the implementation of a CP in the control of cardiovascular risk factors and the occurrence of new events in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Aim: to communicate the home parenteral nutrition (HPN) data obtained from the HPN registry of the NADYA-SENPE group (www.nadya-senpe.com) for the year 2019.

Therapeutic goals and treatment response evaluation in moderate to severe psoriasis: an experts opinion document.

Objective: To critically analyse and define therapeutic objectives, response to treatment evaluation and related decisions in psoriasis.

Methods: Expert consensus meetings, a systematic and narrative reviews and a collaborative Delphi procedure were carried out. A steering committee from the Spanish Group of Psoriasis was established who based on the reviews generated a set of related statements.
