Influenza A is a zoonotic disease that affects dogs, pigs, horses, poultry, and birds. In this report, a meta-analysis according to PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) was conducted. Studies of influenza A viruses in dogs providing prevalence or seroprevalence in any location worldwide were included.

Background & Aims: Interventional clinical trials in ASUC are characterised by substantial heterogeneity due to a lack of consensus in several key areas of trial design - this impedes clinical research efforts to identify novel therapies. The objective of this initiative was to achieve the first consensus and provide clear position statements on ASUC trial design.
Methods: A modified Delphi consensus approach was employed with a panel of twenty clinicians with international representation and expertise in ASUC trial design and delivery.

Background: Gastric acid-related diseases could be treated using proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), which have been found to have anti-tumor ability. Rabeprazole is a type of PPI whose effect and mechanism in lung cancer remained to be clarified.
Methods: Lung cancer cells and lung cancer mice were treated with different concentrations of Rabeprazole and then cell proliferation was detected by CCK-8 and colony formation assays.

Introduction: Obesity constitutes a complex global health that carries several comorbidities that include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. Current treatments, such as lifestyle modifications and bariatric surgery, are often difficult to implement or carry risks, creating a need for alternative approaches. Methylphenidate (MPH), a drug commonly used to treat Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), has shown potential in regulating dopamine levels to modulate appetite and feeding behaviors.

Background And Objective: Chronic subdural hematoma is one of the most common diseases in neurosurgical practice. The content of electrolytes and gases in the collection could participate in the growth and expansion mechanism, however, there is no evidence that they have been studied before. The objective has been to identify electrolyte, gas and internal metabolomic markers of the content of chronic subdural hematomas, with the possibility of participating in their growth and expansion and to substantiate a pathophysiological hypothesis that interacts with existing ones.

Radiology, mainly computed tomography, has a fundamental role in diagnosis, staging and follow-up of lung adenocarcinoma, the most common type of pulmonary cancer. Within its broad spectrum of presentation, the pathological, clinical and morphological characteristics of this neoplasm allow, in an appropriate clinical context, to suggest certain histological subtypes among which are mucinous adenocarcinoma, lepidic growth adenocarcinoma or associated with cystic lung lesions. The objective of this review is to describe the pathologic, clinical and radiological features of those characteristic forms of lung carcinoma that can be diagnosed radiologically with fair accuracy.

Background: Over the past decade, PD-1-based immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) and targeted therapies (TT) with BRAF and MEK inhibitors transformed melanoma treatment. Both are widely used in the adjuvant setting. However, for patients with a BRAF V600 mutation, the optimal adjuvant therapy remains unclear due to the lack of head-to-head comparison studies.

Background: Approved tralokinumab maintenance dosing regimens for treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) include 300 mg every two weeks (Q2W) and every four weeks (Q4W), that clinicians may consider for patients who achieved clear or almost clear skin at Week 16 with initial Q2W dosing.
Objectives: To identify predictive factors associated with maintained response after switching to tralokinumab Q4W, evaluate recapture of treatment response after relapse on Q4W, and assess treatment-emergent immunogenicity with tralokinumab Q4W.
Methods: These post hoc analyses utilized machine learning to identify predictive factors for maintained treatment response at Week 52 using data from the Week 16 responder population (ie, patients who met Investigator's Global Assessment of clear/almost clear skin [IGA 0/1] and/or ≥75% improvement in Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI-75) at Week 16 with tralokinumab Q2W monotherapy) of the phase 3 ECZTRA 1 and 2 trials.

Introduction: Although stentrievers (SRs) are widely used for mechanical thrombectomy (MT), the impact of device dimensions on optimizing reperfusion outcomes in high clot burden cases is unclear. Our study aimed to investigate the effect of SR size on angiographic and clinical outcomes in patients with acute terminal internal cerebral artery (TICA) occlusion.
Methods: We analyzed ROSSETTI registry data to compare technical and clinical outcomes of TICA occlusion patients treated with MT without rescue therapy, according to SR diameter and length: 6 × 41-50 mm, 6 × 20-40 mm, and <6 × 20-50 mm.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a chronic digestive condition that requires continuous monitoring by healthcare professionals to determine appropriate therapy and manage short- and long-term complications. Telemedicine has become an essential approach for managing chronic conditions such as IBD, improving care accessibility and continuity, decreasing hospitalization rates, and optimizing patient follow-up. It enables rapid treatment adjustments and encourages patient self-management.

Background And Aims: Parenteral nutrition (PN) composition could play a role in the management of systemic inflammatory response and intestinal barrier disruption. We aimed to evaluate changes in biomarkers of inflammation, oxidative status and intestinal permeability in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who received different PN lipid formulas.
Methods: This was a prospective study, including 94 patients with T2DM who received omega (n)-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA)-enriched PN, a mixture of medium and long chain triglycerides (MCT/LCT) PN, or an olive oil-based PN.

Intraventricular vector flow mapping (VFM) is an increasingly adopted echocardiographic technique that derives time-resolved two-dimensional flow maps in the left ventricle (LV) from color-Doppler sequences. Current VFM models rely on kinematic constraints arising from planar flow incompressibility. However, these models are not informed by crucial information about flow physics; most notably the forces within the fluid and the resulting accelerations.

Background: Gene polymorphisms of rearranged during transfection (RET) and its ligand neurturin (NRTN) are one of the focus of studies in the investigation of cancer pathogenesis, invasion, and metastasis. In this study, we aimed to examine the possible risk of breast cancer between RET G691S, L769L, S904S, and NRTN IVSI-663 polymorphisms and to evaluate serum NRTN, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2, MMP-9, and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) levels.
Methods: The study consists of 110 breast cancer patients and 110 controls.

Background: Cardioneuroablation (CNA) treats reflex syncope by ablating ganglionated plexi (GPs) either confined to the right (RA) or left atrium (LA), or accessible from both. We assessed whether GP ablation in one atrium affects parasympathetic modulation in the other and how ablation sequence (RA then LA, or vice-versa) impacts efficacy.
Methods: Two propensity-matched groups of patients with reflex syncope or functional bradycardia were analyzed.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) increases the risk of premature mortality, primarily due to cardiovascular diseases (CVD). While Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation (SCORE) and its updated version SCORE2 are used to estimate CVD risk, these tools may not adequately capture the full cardiovascular risk profile in RA patients.
Objectives: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of SCORE2 versus SCORE in predicting the presence of carotid plaques or increased intima-media thickness (IMT), as detected by ultrasound, in RA patients.
