Background: Digital interventions integrating gamification features hold promise to promote daily steps. However, results regarding the effectiveness of this type of intervention are heterogeneous and not yet confirmed in real-life contexts.
Objective: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a gamified intervention and its potential moderators in a large sample using real-world data.

Background: Cardiorespiratory fitness and muscle strength are valid markers of health and strong predictors of mortality and morbidity. The tests used to measure these variables require in-person visits with specialized equipment and trained personnel-leading to organizational constraints both for patients and hospitals, and making them difficult to implement at a large scale. In this context, technologies embedded in smartphones offer new opportunities to develop remote tests.

Background: Gamification refers to the use of game elements in nongame contexts. The use of gamification to change behaviors and promote physical activity (PA) is a promising avenue for tackling the global physical inactivity pandemic and the current prevalence of chronic diseases. However, there is no evidence of the effectiveness of gamified interventions with the existence of mixed results in the literature.

Context: Rapid weight loss (RWL) is a common precompetitive strategy used by athletes in weight-class sports and carries with it an increased risk to future cardiometabolic health. The Rapid Weight Loss Questionnaire (RWLQ) is a self-reported tool designed to identify and characterize such weight loss practices.
Objectives: After developing a reliable and reproducible French version of the RWLQ (RWLQ-FR), the present study aims to analyse RWL patterns among French weight-class athletes and to point out potential relationships between such practices and risk of subsequent weight gain.

Background: Acute dietary-induced energy deficits have been shown to favor compensatory appetitive responses. The aim of this study was to compare energy intake (EI), appetite sensations and the hedonic responses to equivalent energy deficits induced by dietary restriction alone and combined with exercise in adolescents with obesity.
Methods: In a within-subjects design, seventeen adolescents with obesity (12-16 years, Tanner stage 3-5, 6 males) randomly completed three 14 h conditions: (i) control (CON); (ii) deficit induced by diet only (Def-EI) and; (iii) deficit induced by combined diet and physical exercise (Def-mixed).

Background: The individual performances and the complementarity of Crohn's disease (CD) activity index (CDAI), C-reactive protein (CRP) and faecal calprotectin (Fcal) to monitor patients with CD remain poorly investigated in the era of "tight control" and "treat to target" strategies.
Aim: To assess CDAI, CRP and Fcal variation, alone or combined, after 12 wk (W12) of anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) therapy to predict corticosteroids-free remission (CFREM = CDAI < 150, CRP < 2.9 mg/L and Fcal < 250 μg/g with no therapeutic intensification and no surgery) at W52.

Background: Fecal biomarkers are emerging tools in the assessment of mucosal healing in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
Goals: We aimed to evaluate the accuracy of fecal matrix metalloprotease-9 (MMP-9) and fecal lipocalin-2 (LCN-2) compared with calprotectin in detecting endoscopic activity in IBD STUDY:: Overall, 86 IBD adults underwent colonoscopy consecutively and prospectively, with Crohn's disease Endoscopic Index of Severity (CDEIS) in Crohn's disease (CD) patients or Mayo endoscopic subscore calculation for ulcerative colitis (UC) patients, and stool collection. Fecal calprotectin was measured using quantitative immunochromatographic testing.

Aim: To evaluate the accuracy of faecal chitinase 3-like 1(CHI3L1) compared to calprotectin in detecting endoscopic activity in IBD.
Methods: Overall, 86 IBD adults underwent colonoscopy consecutively and prospectively, with Crohn's disease Endoscopic Index of Severity (CDEIS) or Mayo endoscopic subscore calculation for ulcerative colitis, and stool collection.

Objectives: To describe fear-avoidance beliefs about low back pain (LBP) in a sample of teaching general practitioners (TGPs) and to investigate the impact on following the guidelines for LBP.
Methods: A sample of 112 French TGPs were contacted to complete a self-administered questionnaire including socio-demographic and professional data, personal history of LBP, CME about LBP and usual practices, and their low back pain beliefs using the Fear-Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire (FABQ) and the Back Belief Questionnaire (BBQ).
Results: Forty-seven responded, 48% treated more than 10 LBP patients per month, and 45% participated in an educational session on LBP during the previous 3 years.

Eccentric (ECC) work is interesting for rehabilitation purposes because it is more efficient than concentric (CON). This study assessed respiratory patterns and electromyographic activity (EMG) during ECC and CON cycling, both at similar power outputs and VO2 in eight healthy male subjects. Measurements include ventilation (VE), tidal volume (Vt), breathing frequency (Fb), arterial blood gases, and vastus lateralis (VL) and biceps brachii (BB) EMG.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are widely prescribed drugs without recognized cardiovascular risk. We report the case of a 54-year-old patient who developed QTc interval prolongation, followed by ventricular fibrillation episodes, 10 hours after admission to the ICU, in the setting of a citalopram overdose. Citalopram plasma values dropped from 5.

Purpose: To determine whether a single intra- or periarticular injection of corticosteroid for posttraumatic or microtraumatic articular injuries in young healthy subjects can induce a biological suppression of hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis activity and reactivity.
