Angiosarcoma is an extremely uncommon mesenchymal neoplasm overall and moreso in female genital organs such as the ovary. Diagnosing primary ovarian angiosarcoma remains challenging on clinical grounds due to the absence of specific clinical symptoms as well as on histopathological analysis especially in poorly differentiated subtypes due to non-specific and overlapping morphologic features. Managing thrombocytopenia in advanced cancer presents significant challenges, often limiting therapeutic options and impacting patient outcomes. This case report describes a 62-year-old man with metastatic RCC complicated by persistent thrombocytopenia, unresponsive to both conventional treatments and novel therapies.

We hypothesized that "augmented RT" schedules (defined as either dose-escalation on the prostate gland over 78 Gy and/or addition of whole pelvic radiotherapy (WPRT)), combined with long-term ADT can reach excellent prostate cancer specific survival (PCSS) in this population with little detrimental impact on quality of life.

Why cancer cells disproportionately accumulate polyubiquitinated proteotoxic proteins despite high proteasomal activity is an outstanding question. While mis-regulated ubiquitination is a contributing factor, here we show that a structurally-perturbed and sub-optimally functioning proteasome is at the core of altered proteostasis in tumors. By integrating the gene coexpression signatures of proteasomal subunits in breast cancer (BrCa) patient tissues with the atomistic details of 26S holocomplex, we find that the transcriptional deregulation induced-stoichiometric imbalances perpetuate with disease severity.
