Case Description: A 62-year-old female presented with a macule on the hard palate clinically consistent with a blue nevus. On biopsy a black nodular mass was excised, establishing oroantral communication that was verified by a computed tomography scan.

Derived by that, this study aims to understand the complex interactions between not only RT and QoL but also symptom severity, and treatment-related toxicities in three distinct time points of patient's treatment; (2) Methods: To achieve that, EORTC-QLQ-C30 and EORTC QLQ-H&N35 questionnaires were used in combination with EORTC_RTOG scoring criteria and Spearman's rho statistical analysis for 74 patients with cancer undergoing VMAT radiation therapy; (3) Results: The results revealed a significant improvement in the Overall Health Index post-treatment, indicating a temporary decline during therapy followed by subsequent recovery, often surpassing pre-treatment QoL levels.

In an international cross-sectional study, HNC survivors completed the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) quality of life core questionnaire (EORTC-QLQ-C30) and its HNC module (EORTC-QLQ-H&N35).

Objective: This study aimed to verify whether tooth extraction before the administration of bone-modifying agents (BMA) was effective in preventing the onset of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ).

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included patients with a history of receiving BMA for cancer treatment. The patients were classified into three groups based on the timing of tooth extraction: no tooth extraction before the onset of MRONJ, tooth extraction before the administration of BMA, and tooth extraction after the administration of BMA.

Spongiotic gingival hyperplasia is a rare lesion with unique clinicopathological features and unknown pathogenesis that has not been previously reported in a patient with autism spectrum disorder. The purpose of this case report is to present the first case of spongiotic gingival hyperplasia in a child with Asperger syndrome.

We report in this study on the isolation and expansion of neural crest stem cells (NCSCs) from the epithelium of oral mucosa (OM) using reagents that are GMP-certified and FDA-approved for clinical use. Characterization analysis showed that the levels of keratins , , , , , and -specific to OM epithelial cells-were significantly lower in the experimental NCSCs. While was decreased with no statistically significant difference, the earliest neural crest specifier genes , , , , , , and showed a trend in increased expression in NCSCs.

Auto-Brewery Syndrome and General Anesthesia: A Case Report.

Auto-brewery syndrome (ABS) is a rare condition in which ethanol is endogenously fermented by fungi in the gut following a carbohydrate-rich meal, resulting in intoxication. We present a case of a patient with ABS successfully undergoing general anesthesia for symptomatic wisdom tooth extraction. During previous anesthetics, the patient had experienced postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) and awareness under anesthesia.

Excessive canonical Wnt signaling in osteoarthritis contributes to chondrocyte phenotypic instability and loss of cartilage homeostasis; however, the regulatory niche is unknown. Using the temporomandibular joint as a model in multiple species, we identify Lgr5-expressing secretory cells as forming a Wnt inhibitory niche that instruct Wnt-inactive chondroprogenitors to form the nascent synovial joint and regulate chondrocyte lineage and identity.
