The early detection of tumors is one of the key factors in increasing overall survival in cancer patients. A wide range of cancers still do not have a system of early diagnosis; therefore, the development of new non-invasive tools in this line is essential. Accordingly, the objective of our work was to develop a non-invasive screening method for the early detection of various carcinomas in plasma using a panel that combines two markers using RT-qPCR.

Tumor-derived extracellular vesicles (TD-EVs) have active roles as cancer hallmark enablers. EVs RNA of epithelial and stromal cells carry information that facilitates the communication processes that contribute to oncological progression, so the objective of this work was to validate by RT-PCR the presence of epithelial (; ) and stromal (; ) markers in RNA of plasmatic EVs in healthy and diverse-malignancy patients for the development of a non-invasive cancer diagnosis system using liquid biopsy. Ten asymptomatic controls and 20 cancer patients were included in the study, and results showed that the isolated plasmatic EVs by scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) andBiomedical Research Institute A Coruña nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) contained most exosome structures with also a considerable percentage of microvesicles.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility of a trial to compare the efficacy and safety of initial lens extraction surgery versus medical treatment for people with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PXFG) or ocular hypertension (OHT) and pseudoexfoliation syndrome.
Methods: This is a feasibility and pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) in patients with newly diagnosed PXFG and mild cataract. The study was prospectively registered at ClinicalTrials.

To assess the comparative effectiveness and safety of different surgical and laser techniques in people with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PXFG). We conducted a systematic review including randomized controlled trials (RCT) that compared any pair of surgical or laser treatment versus other type of intervention in PXFG. RCT were identified by a highly sensitive search of electronic databases and two individuals independently assessed trial eligibility, abstracted data and assessed risk of bias.

Aim: To analyze the clinical impact of the Flash glucose monitoring system in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII).
Methods: A 24-week retrospective cohort study in CSII-treated T1DM patients exposed (1:1) to the Flash glucose monitoring system vs. self-monitoring of capillary blood glucose (SMBG).

Objectives: Hypoglycemia is a limiting factor in the achievement of strict glycemic control. The primary objective of this 9-week study was to determine the frequency of hypoglycemia in patients with stable insulin-treated type 2 diabetes mellitus by comparing self-monitored blood glucose (SMBG) measurement with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).
Methods: This was an observational prospective study.
