Aim: To compare the evaluation of retinographies by a teleophthalmology nurse and primary care physicians (PCP) with an ophthalmologist referral hospital (gold standard).
Methods: Cross-sectional study on a random sample of 337 patients on the teleophthalmology programme from January 2010 to January 2015. We analyzed the diagnostic evaluation (whether or not it presented findings of RD) and the therapeutic assessment (whether or not referral to the opthalmology department was needed) which were conducted independently on the sample retinographies by the PCP, a nurse and an ophthalmologist (gold standard).

Clinical Case: A 49-year-old woman experienced a local relapse of a primary follicular lymphoma (FL) of the conjunctiva. She received 4 weekly intra-lesional injections followed by 6 monthly injections of rituximab (6mg/ml). A clinical response was achieved after first injection.

Clinical Case: A 39-year-old man with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (LAL Ph+) developed progressive vision loss to no light perception in his right eye. He had optic disk edema and later developed central artery and vein occlusions. Pan-photocoagulation, as well as radiotherapy of the whole brain were performed in several fractions.
