Methods: This was a multicentre, nationwide observational study in which data were sourced from the SEMI-COVID-19 Registry between March 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, involving 150 Spanish hospitals.

Skin-to-skin contact is an intervention that can support the physiological processes of labour by increasing oxytocin levels, which can accelerate placental expulsion and enhance uterine contractions, thereby contributing to the prevention of postpartum haemorrhage.

Objective: This systematic review aims to evaluate the impact of skin-to-skin contact on key maternal variables during the third stage of labour, including the duration of this stage, placental integrity, the need for manual placental extraction, the administration of therapeutic uterotonics, and the position of the uterine fundus.

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) enhances cognitive function in schizophrenia: A randomized double-blind sham-controlled trial.

This study aimed to examine the cognitive effects of tDCS and the subjective cognitive improvement perceived by patients with schizophrenia. A total of 173 outpatients diagnosed with schizophrenia were recruited for this double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial. Two different stimulation modes were applied: 2 mA 20 minutes active tDCS and sham tDCS.
