Unlabelled: An open fracture is one in which the bone segments penetrate into the skin leaving the bone in contact with the outer environment. Many microorganisms may cause wound infection in open fractures; the most common one is Staphyloccocus aureus.
Methods: This study included a group of 75 patients of both genders seen from November 1st, 2009 to April 30, 2010.
We present five cases of patients with traumatic hip dislocation diagnosed clinically, with X-rays and CT scan. Closed reduction was performed under IV sedation and fluoroscopic control. Patients wore a Dennis Brown brace at 45 degrees of abduction and neutral rotation.

Bilateral quadriceps tenoplasty was performed with an anterior approach and without any complications. The patient was discharged with bilateral neoprene knee-guards.

Although thoracic trauma is frequently accompanied by myocardial injury; this later is often oversighted at early stages of trauma and misdiagnosed by the time complications are present. Myocardial abnormalities have been attributed to a reduction of cardiac flow. Nitroglycerin and isosorbide dinitrate, both agents with a known vasodilator effect on coronary arteries, might improve myocardial ischemic resulting from traumatic contusion.
