Background: An international multidisciplinary panel of experts aimed to provide consensus guidelines describing the optimal intratumoral and intranodal injection of NBTXR3 hafnium oxide nanoparticles in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) of the oral cavity, oropharynx, and cervical lymph nodes and to review data concerning safety, feasibility, and procedural aspects of administration.

Methods: The Delphi method was used to determine consensus. A 4-member steering committee and a 10-member monitoring committee wrote and revised the guidelines, divided into eight sections.

Indication for molecular testing by multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification in parkinsonism.

Eur J Neurol

June 2023

Univ. Lille, Inserm, CHU Lille, U1172 - LilNCog (JPARC) - Lille Neurosciences & Cognition, Lille, France.

Background And Purpose: The monogenic forms of Parkinson's disease represent <10% of familial cases and a still lower frequency of sporadic cases. However, guidelines to orient genetic testing are lacking. The aim was to establish the interest of multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) as a primary screening test and to propose clinical criteria to guide genetic diagnostic tests for patients with suspected Mendelian Parkinson's disease.

Purpose: To describe the MRI features of rudimentary horn pregnancy (RHP) with surgical correlations.

Methods: Nine women with a RHP underwent preoperative pelvic MRI. MRI protocol included T2- (n = 9), T1- (n = 7), and fat-suppressed contrast-enhanced T1-weighted sequences (n = 4).

Intraoperative cone beam computed tomography to improve outcomes after infrarenal endovascular aortic repair.

J Vasc Surg

March 2022

Department of Vascular Surgery, CHU Lille, University of Lille, Lille, France; Controlled Drug Delivery Systems and Biomaterials, INSERM U1008, University of Lille, Lille, France. Electronic address:

Objective: We evaluated whether a combination of intraoperative contrast-enhanced cone beam computed tomography (ceCBCT) and postoperative contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) after infrarenal endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) could reduce late stent graft-related complications and, consequently, reintervention.

Methods: All consecutive patients who had received infrarenal bifurcated stent grafts in our hybrid room (IGS 730; GE Healthcare, Île-de-France, France) during two discrete periods were included in the present study. From November 2012 to September 2013, two-dimensional completion angiography was performed after each EVAR, followed by computed tomography angiography (CTA) before discharge (group 1).

Background: Atopic dermatitis is a highly prevalent, chronic, relapsing disease in both adults and children. On the severity spectrum, lower-end patients benefit from small amounts of topical anti-inflammatory treatments (TAT), whereas higher-end patients need systemic immunosuppressants; in-between patients are treated with TAT and phototherapy. The major therapeutic challenge in this population is the long-term control of disease activity, and the current TAT-based pro-active strategy does not meet all their needs.

The prognosis of patients with marrow necrosis secondary to neoplastic disease (often gastric adenocarcinoma) was found to be extremely poor with a median overall survival (OS) of few months. This case confirms the very poor prognosis and shows an association with a neural endocrine adenocarcinoma of the thymus.

Background: Recent data suggest that alcohol-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is diagnosed at a later stage. The aim of this study was to compare HCC characteristics and outcomes in an alcohol-related group (group A) and a non-alcohol-related group (group NA).

Methods: A total of 1207 patients with newly diagnosed HCC were prospectively included between May 2008 and October 2009.
