Although several strategies have been proposed to reduce the disease burden, challenges remain to provide the best possible care. Objectives: A thorough understanding of cerebellum anatomy is essential in 4th ventricle approaches (more frequent in pediatric neurosurgery), avoiding relevant complications such as cerebellar mutism. The aim of the present work is to show the feasibility of a didactic dissection of human cerebellum focusing on cerebellar peduncles and dentate nucleus (DN), which are structures at high risk during these surgical procedures.
Material And Methods: The cerebellum was dissected according to the Klingler method for white matter, using standard and specific microsurgery tools.

The authors present a case of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis in a COVID-19 pediatric patient with positive SARS-CoV2 markers from a nasopharyngeal swab. A previously healthy 12-year-old-girl presented with a skin rash, headache, and fever. Five days after that, she had an acute, progressive, bilateral, and symmetrical motor weakness.

Objective: To conduct a national survey of intensive care professionals to identify the practices for promoting sleep in adult intensive care units in Brazil and describe the professionals' perceptions of the importance of sleep for patients.
Methods: An electronic questionnaire was distributed by the clinical research cooperation network of the Associação de Medicina Intensiva Brasileira and by the Brazilian Research in Intensive Care Network to physicians and nurses registered with the association. The questionnaire evaluated the profile of the respondents, the profile of their intensive care units, whether protocols for promoting sleep were present, the pharmacological and nonpharmacological measures typically employed in the unit, and the professionals' perceptions regarding sleep in critically ill patients.

Background: Several studies conducted in areas with temperate climates have suggested that the incidence of venous thromboembolism (VTE) varies depending on seasonal climatic fluctuations. However, no studies have been conducted comparing areas with semi-arid climate with areas with temperate climates.
Objectives: To analyze whether there is a correlation between the incidence of VTE in areas with semi-arid climates and areas with temperate climates in Brazil.
