Purpose: We aim to determine the current treatment patterns and recommendations among physicians for cutaneous lymphomas and to identify the types of skin lymphomas for which existing radiation regimens need improvement.
Methods And Materials: A questionnaire from the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer was distributed to all members of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Tumour Group and Radiation Oncology Scientific Council. This online survey included 13 questions regarding treatment practices for patients with cutaneous lymphoma.

The impact of measurable residual disease (MRD) in relapse/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) patients treated with T-cell redirecting immunotherapy is uncertain. We analyzed MRD dynamics using next-generation flow in 201 patients treated in clinical trials with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and T-cell engagers (TCE). Achieving MRD negativity at 10 was associated with 89% reduction in the risk of progression and/or death.

Crossed Wernicke's aphasia (CWA) following a stroke is a rare clinical phenomenon, particularly when associated with seizures. This case report presents a unique instance of crossed CWA accompanied by focal clonic cluster seizures affecting the left arm and face, with secondary generalization, in a monolingual Bengali-speaking patient following a right middle cerebral artery ischemic stroke. The patient, a 70-year-old male from rural India, presented with acute behavioral abnormalities and language impairment.

The QuantiFERON-Monitor assay (QTF-Monitor) is intended to assess innate and adaptive immune responses by quantifying interferon (IFN)-γ release upon whole blood stimulation with a TLR7/8 agonist and an anti-CD3 antibody. We performed the QTF-Monitor in 126 kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) at different points during the first 6 post-transplant months. The primary outcome was overall infection, whereas secondary outcomes included bacterial infection, opportunistic infection and cancer.

Background: Cariprazine (CAR), an antipsychotic with partial agonism at the D3 receptor and higher affinity than dopamine, has shown significant procognitive effects in preclinical animal studies. This study systematically reviews CAR's effects on cognitive measures in patients with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Methods: Two independent reviewers systematically searched PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library up to May 2024, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis guidelines.

Purpose Of Review: Pioneering contributions in membranous nephropathy over the last decade have greatly enhanced our comprehension of its pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatments, igniting renewed interest in this entity. This review provides an updated perspective on the diagnosis and therapeutic management of membranous nephropathy.
Recent Findings: The identification of antiphospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) antibodies in 50-80% of membranous nephropathy patients was a key breakthrough.

IKKα is known as an essential protein for skin homeostasis. However, the lack of suitable models to investigate its functions in the skin has led to IKKα being mistakenly considered as a suppressor of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) development. In this study, using our previously generated transgenic mouse models expressing exogenous IKKα in the cytoplasm (C-IKKα mice) or in the nucleus (N-IKKα mice) of basal keratinocytes, we demonstrate that at each subcellular localization, IKKα differently regulates signaling pathways important for maintaining the balance between keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation, and for the cutaneous inflammatory response.

Given the increased demand for mental health resources in the child and adolescent population, this study aims to describe the emergency psychiatric care of the children and adolescents and to explore factors associated with multiple visits and hospital admissions. All patients < 18 years of age who visited the psychiatric ED(ED) of a University Hospital in Madrid, Spain, during 2022 were included. Data were collected by the attending psychiatrist upon first 2022 ED visit (index visit) and during any ED revisit.

Background: There is skepticism about the benefit of surgery in elderly patients affected by traumatic brain injury (TBI) due to the negative effect of age on the outcome and surgical complications. However, there are few studies that have investigated differences in patient's outcome between surgically and conservatively managed patients after adjusting for the imbalance in preinjury characteristics and clinical and radiological features. The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of early surgery on mortality and functional recovery in a cohort of older adults with acute traumatic intracranial lesions after adjustment by Propensity Score (PS) matching.

As the world still vividly recalls the previous monkeypox (mpox) outbreak that impacted over 120 countries worldwide with more than 99,000 cases in 2022, we are now facing a second wave of infections from the monkeypox virus (MPXV), characterized by an exponential increase in cases. The current 2024 outbreak has already recorded more than 20,000 cases in Africa, marking a dramatic escalation compared to previous outbreaks. The predominance of the newly identified clade Ib variant, first detected in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and now identified across multiple African nations and beyond, underscores its enhanced transmissibility and potential for international spread, evidenced by cases in Sweden and Thailand.

This study reports on the metabolic changes accompanying the differentiation of MC3T3-E1 osteoprogenitor cells induced by mesoporous bioactive glass nanospheres (nMBG) loaded with ipriflavone (nMBG-IP). Ipriflavone (IP) is a synthetic isoflavone known for inhibiting bone resorption, maintaining bone density, and preventing osteoporosis. Delivering IP intracellularly is a promising strategy to modulate bone remodeling at significantly lower doses compared to free drug administration.

The Penta Network has made significant strides in pediatric human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) research, initially focusing on clinical trials for children in Europe, before expanding globally to countries with high HIV prevalence. Key contributions include the ODYSSEY trial, which established dolutegravir as a superior treatment for children and the Early-treated Perinatally HIV-infected Individuals: Improving Children's Actual Life with Novel Immunotherapeutic Strategies consortium, aimed at developing strategies for HIV remission. The ongoing empirical and thrive projects address advanced HIV disease, particularly severe pneumonia and postdischarge mortality in children.

Sex is a key variable in the regulation of human physiology and pathology. Many diseases disproportionately affect one sex: autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, are more common in women but more severe in men, whereas the incidence of other disorders such as gouty arthritis and malignant cancers is higher in men. Besides the pathophysiology, sex may also influence the efficacy of therapeutics; participants in clinical trials are still predominately men, and the side effects of drugs are more common in women than in men.
