Methods: We performed a retrospective study of all patients diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection by RT-PCR at Hospital 1° de Octubre, in Mexico, from the beginning of the pandemic to 22 December 2020.

Background: The GTPase KRas4B has been utilized as a principal target in the development of anticancer drugs. PDE6δ transports KRas4B to the plasma membrane, where it is released to activate various signaling pathways required for the initiation and maintenance of cancer. Therefore, identifying new small molecules that prevent activation of this GTPase by stabilizing the KRas4B-PDE6δ molecular complex is a practical strategy to fight against cancer.

Recently stem cell transplantation has been suggested like novel treatment in some severe auto-immune diseases, specifically in severe and refractory to conventional treatment in systemic lupus erythematosus patients. The state of Tabasco is localized in the endemic area of cutaneous leishmaniasis where both diffuse cutaneous leishmaniasis and mucocutaneous leishmaniasis have recently been reported. The objective of the present study was to obtain reliable information of the situation of this disease--which has a great relevance as a worldwide public health problem--through determination of the allergic index in a randomized sample from Ranchería Miguel Hidalgo, Comalcalco Municipality, Tabasco, Mexico. Clinical and pathologic findings in seven patients who died of severe pulmonary artery hypertension due to toxic oil syndrome are assessed. These cases correspond to a late stage of evolution of the disease characterized by progressive deterioration in clinical features--increasing dyspnea, chest pain, syncope, and death (in low-output heart failure). The main pathologic pulmonary vascular findings consisted of plexiform lesions, thromboses, and venous lesions.
