Mosquito-borne diseases, such as malaria, dengue, and Zika, pose major public health challenges globally, affecting millions of people. The growing resistance of mosquito populations to synthetic insecticides underscores the critical need for effective and environmentally friendly larvicides. Although chemical pesticides can initially be effective, they often lead to negative environmental consequences and health hazards for non-target species, including humans.

Three species of were identified in Hormozgan province, for which the available antivenoms lack the efficacy required for treating patients. Consequently, an exact identification of the existing species was deemed necessary as the first step in managing treatment procedures. Considering the morphological similarities among the species, the aim of this research was the molecular study of the samples to accurately identify the species.

Background: Management of type 2 diabetes (T2D) as a chronic disease requires treatment adherence such as controlling the blood glucose level and adopting a healthy lifestyle. The present study aimed to develop and psychometrically evaluate a questionnaire based on the Pender's Health Promotion Model (HPM) to measure treatment adherence and the associated factors among T2D patients.
Methods: The present study was conducted in qualitative and the quantitative phases between March 2022 and March 2023.

Background: Deferoxamine is a potent iron chelator that could remove iron from the virus, and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 requires iron to replication. Also, deferoxamine has antioxidant and cytokine-modulating effects. Therefore, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of deferoxamine in patients with moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Background: Electronic portal imaging devices (EPIDs) are applied to measure the dose and verify patients' position.
Objective: The present study aims to evaluate the performance of EPID for measuring dosimetric parameters in small photon fields.
Material And Methods: In this experimental study, the output factors and beam profiles were obtained using the amorphous silicon (a-Si) EPID for square field sizes ranging from 1×1 to 10×10 cm at energies 6 and 18 mega-voltage (MV).
Background: Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) possess a remarkable ability for tissue differentiation, making them highly efficient in tissue regeneration and inflammation regulation. This systematic study proposes to find an answer to the question, "Do DPSCs have the ability to regenerate and rehabilitate nerve tissue?"
Methods: This systematic review was conducted based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria, and the principle of non-bias was respected. All the articles from 2014 to 2024 were extracted from the Web of Science, PubMed, and Scopus databases.

Background: The National Persian Registry of Cardiovascular Disease (N-PROVE) has been established to provide a comprehensive database of cardiovascular diseases in the Iranian community for further investigations and to develop national guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD). As with most clinical registries, a quality control audit is necessary to ensure a comprehensive and accurate registry; the current study aims to assess the validity and quality of the N-PROVE/Angiography/Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) registry.
Methods: The current cross-sectional quality assessment study serves as an example of data quality assessment in N-PROVE on a sample of patients registered in the N-PROVE/Angiography/PCI registry since 2020.

Longevity, the length of an organism's lifespan, is impacted by environmental factors, metabolic processes, and genetic determinants. The base excision repair (BER) pathway is crucial for maintaining genomic integrity by repairing oxidatively modified base lesions. Nei-like DNA Glycosylase 1 (NEIL1), part of the BER pathway, is vital in repairing oxidative bases in G-rich DNA regions, such as telomeres and promoters.

Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) is one of the most consumed fish in the world and can be exposed to various forms of pollution, such as potential toxic elements (PTEs). Several studies have been conducted on the concentration of PTEs in common carp fish. The aims of the current study were to meta-analyze the concentration of PTEs in common carp fish and estimate human health risks in consumers.

Background And Aim: Currently, there are no authorized medications specifically for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) treatment. Studies indicate that changes in gut microbiota can disturb intestinal balance and impair the immune system and metabolism, thereby elevating the risk of developing and exacerbating NAFLD. Despite some debate, the potential benefits of microbial therapies in managing NAFLD have been shown.

Aims: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of pediatrics cancer. Chemokines exert different roles in leukemia process through leukocyte recruitment and regulation of disease severity. Due to the prominent roles of chemokine/receptor axes, this study aimed to measure the blood expression levels of CCR4 and their ligands in pediatrics with B-cell ALL (B-ALL).

Background: In recent years, evidence has accumulated that a second method of conserving the breast from cancer with re-irradiation as part of treatment may be feasible and safe. Many oncologists are skeptical of breast re-irradiation due to concerns about late complications, so access to quantitative data on the prevalence of breast re-irradiation complications is very important. In this meta-analysis, we determine the prevalence of complications in normal tissue after breast re-irradiation.
