Background & Aims: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy observed in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The aim of our study was to evaluate incident cancer rate (recurrence or new-onset cancer) in a cohort of patients with IBD with a history of breast cancer according to the subsequent IBD treatment provided.
Methods: A multicenter retrospective study included consecutive patients with IBD with prior breast cancer.

Background: Myosin heavy chain 7 ()-related myopathies (-RMs) are a group of muscle disorders linked to pathogenic variants in the gene, encoding the slow/beta-cardiac myosin heavy chain, which is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart. The phenotype is heterogeneous including distal, predominantly axial or scapuloperoneal myopathies with variable cardiac involvement.
Methods: We retrospectively analysed the clinical, muscle MRI, genetic and myopathological features of 57 patients.

Background: Functional correlates of spastic myopathy, the muscle disorder of spastic paresis, are unknown.
Objective: To explore reciprocal relationships between clinical and structural parameters of plantar flexors with i) ambulation speed, ii) dorsiflexion and plantarflexion torques in chronic hemiparesis.
Methods: Cross-sectional trial in chronic stroke-induced hemiparesis (>6 months).

Aims: Wild-type transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTRwt CA) is a common, underdiagnosed cause of heart failure (HF) in the elderly. Concurrent extracardiac amyloid infiltration might be responsible for a specific frailty phenotype. This study aims to compare the prevalence and characteristics of frailty parameters in HF patients, with or without ATTRwt CA.

The publication productivity of residents has been reported in various specialties, mainly in North America, but never in pathology. In France, pathology residents must defend a medical thesis to obtain the title of medical doctor and to practice medicine. The aim of this study was to assess the thesis performance and publication output of a nationwide cohort of pathology residents from six graduating classes in France.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder characterized by chronic microbial colonization and inflammation of the respiratory tract (RT), leading to pulmonary exacerbation (PEx) and lung damage. Although the lung bacterial microbiota has been extensively studied, the mycobiome remains understudied. However, its importance as a contributor to CF pathophysiology has been highlighted.

This qualitative review aims to summarize current knowledge on ventriculostomy-related infection (VRI) pathophysiology and its prevention. VRI generally occurs at day 10, mainly because of Gram-positive cocci, after a cerebrospinal fluid leak. Skin microbiota and biofilm seem to play a major role in VRI pathogenesis.

Background: To our knowledge, no large observational study has compared the incidence and risk factors for extubation failure within 48 h and during ICU stay in the same cohort of unselected critically ill patients with and without obesity.
Research Question: What are the incidence and risk factors of extubation failure in patients with and without obesity?
Study Design And Methods: In the prospective multicenter observational Practices and Risk Factors for Weaning and Extubation Airway Failure in Adult Intensive Care Unit: A Multicenter Trial (FREEREA) study in 26 ICUs, the primary objective was to compare the incidence of extubation failure within 48 h in patients with and without obesity. Secondary objectives were to describe and to identify the independent specific risk factors for extubation failure using first a logistic regression model and second a decision tree analysis.
