Background: This study aims to evaluate the correlation between miRNAs and known nerve injury markers neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and S100β in ischemic stroke (IS) patients, exploring its efficacy.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 86 IS patients and 32 healthy controls. Clinical and neurological examinations were performed in the admitted patients and the severity of neurological deficits was assessed by National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Methods: We assessed the causality between serum VD and PCOS by using genome-wide association studies (GWAS) data in a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (TS-MR) analysis.

[Effect and mechanism of Poria cocos polysaccharides on myocardial cell apoptosis in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury by regulating Rho-ROCK signaling pathway].

This study aimed to investigate the effect and underlying mechanism of Poria cocos polysaccharides(PCP) on myocardial cell apoptosis in the rat model of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(MI/RI). Male SPF-grade SD rats were randomly divided into a sham group(saline), a model group(saline), low-and high-dose PCP groups(100 and 200 mg·kg~(-1)), and a fasudil group(10 mg·kg~(-1)), with 16 rats in each group. Except for the sham group, the other four groups underwent left anterior descending coronary artery ligation for 30 min followed by reperfusion for 2 h to establish the MI/RI model.

Efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine nursing intervention in postoperative patients after gastrectomy.

Gastrectomy is a technically demanding procedure for gastric cancer patients that is associated with different degrees of postoperative complications (POCs). Perioperative traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing intervention presents benefits for improving the survival of patients with gastric cancer. However, the effects of TCM nursing intervention on POCs and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer following surgery are far from clear.

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations are the most common oncogenic driver in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) are widely used in the treatment of lung cancer, especially in the first-line treatment of advanced NSCLC, and EGFR-TKIs monotherapy has achieved better efficacy and tolerability compared with standard chemotherapy. Background: Postoperative nursing can improve the quality of life (QoL) and functional prognosis for lung cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of high-quality nursing on inflammation and prognosis in postoperative patients with advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: A total of 372 patients with NSCLC were enrolled between the May 2014 and June 2016.

Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) was found to be associated with the pathogenesis of cataracts, but its biological role in PCO is poorly understood. In the present study, IGF-1 overexpression facilitated the proliferation, migration, and EMT, whereas knockdown of IGF-1 markedly suppressed the proliferation, migration, and TGF-2-induced EMT of LECs.

This work aimed to research the function of MARVEL domain-containing protein 1 (MARVELD1) in glioma as well as its functioning mode. We investigated a comprehensive analysis to evaluate the correlations between rs11200638 polymorphism and AMD susceptibility thoroughly addressing this issue.

Then, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified using linear models for microarray data (limma) and the intersections of DEGs from the two datasets were further screened.

Objective To investigate the effect of baicalein (BAI) on autophagy in gastric cancer cell line MGC-803. Methods MGC-803 cells were treated with 0, 5, 15, 25, 50 μmol/L BAI for 24, 48, 72 hours. The proliferation activity of MGC-803 cells was detected by MTT assay.

Statins exert anti-tumoral effects on various cancer, including breast cancer. However, the molecular mechanisms for the actions were not fully elucidated.

Diagnostic value of urinary retinol binding protein (RBP), albumin (ALB) and aquaporin-2 (AQP2) in neonatal hydronephrosis and their relationship with the expression of monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1) in the prenatal maternal peripheral blood was investigated. Forty-six child patients with hydronephrosis admitted to Hongqi Hospital Affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical College from December 2016 to November 2017 were selected as the observation group and the control included 46 normal newborn infants. The urinary RBP, ALB, AQP2 and the expression of MCP-1 in the prenatal maternal peripheral blood in the two groups were compared.
