Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of 25Gy/5# prophylactic pelvic nodal irradiation for regional control during stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT) for high risk prostate cancer.
Methods: The multinational XXXX consortium database of patients treated with curative-intent prostate SBRT for high risk prostate cancer was queried for prophylactic radiotherapy 25Gy/5# to the pelvic lymph nodes. Details of Phoenix-defined biochemical failure, and location of recurrence (local, regional, or distant) were extracted.
Background: Lip and oral cavity cancer is leading cause of cancer mortality among Indian men. This study evaluated diagnostic accuracy of mobile health (mHealth) enabled screening for early detection of oral premalignant lesions or oral cancer (OPML/OC). It also described epidemiology of tobacco and other substance use and associated oral lesions in rural northern India.

In this study, a linked simulation optimization (SO) model is presented for identification of groundwater contaminant sources. The SO model consists of two steps namely, simulation and optimization. The simulation step entails developing a groundwater contaminant transport model in which the advection-dispersion-reaction equation (ADRE) is solved for predicting the concentration of the contaminant.

Lower-dimensional organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials promise to revolutionize the optoelectronics industry due to the tremendous possibilities of exotic control on excitonic properties driven via quantum confinement. Flexible organic cations acting as spacers and stabilizers enhance electron-phonon couplings, further amplifying the potential for modular light-matter interactions in these materials. Herein we unravel the nature of excitons in a quasi-1D chain of corner-sharing bismuth iodide octahedra with an intrinsic quantum well structure stabilized by a hexyl-diammonium cation.

Introduction: The dearth of population-based data on polysubstance use, especially in young emerging adults, presents a critical gap in understanding public health challenges, particularly in rural India, where tobacco and oral cancer are prevalent. This study addresses this gap by investigating the prevalence and patterns of substance use, with a focus on young emerging adults (18-29 years) within a high-risk cohort for oral cancer in Varanasi, India.
Methods: The study involved a cross-sectional analysis of baseline data from 10,101 participants within a high-risk cohort in rural settings of the Varanasi district between December 2020-June 2023.

Background: Histopathological response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) measured as tumor necrosis (TN) has been reported to be prognostic post-high-dose methotrexate (HDMTX)-based chemotherapy. We studied this on a non-HDMTX chemotherapy backbone.
Materials And Methods: Children ≤15 years, with osteosarcoma treated on OGS-2012 protocol and surgery post NACT from January 2013 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.

Single-particle photoluminescence measurements have been extensively utilized to investigate the charge carrier dynamics in quantum dots (QDs). Among these techniques, single dot blinking studies are effective for probing relatively slower processes with timescales >10 ms, whereas fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) studies are suited for recording faster processes with timescales typically <1 ms. In this study, we utilized scanning FCS (sFCS) to bridge the ms gap, thereby enabling the tracking of carrier dynamics across an extended temporal window ranging from μs to subsecond.

Purpose: Biliary tract cancers (BTCs) are usually diagnosed in advanced stages, where treatment options are either palliative chemotherapy and/or best supportive care. The breakthrough results of the TOPAZ-1 trial demonstrated a 24% decrease in risk of death at 2 years with the addition of durvalumab to chemotherapy.
Materials And Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective cohort study conducted across 14 institutions in India.

Background: Xenografts in immunodeficient mice play a pivotal role in testing novel anti-cancer treatments. Xenograft models expedite the drug discovery process, offering a cost-effective alternative to conventional animal models and providing essential data for clinical trials. We have followed the approach described by the Developmental Therapeutics Program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), USA to investigate the therapeutic responses.

Petroleum hydrocarbons (PHs) are compounds composed mostly of carbon and hydrogen, originating from crude oil and its derivatives. PHs are primarily released into the environment through the diffusion of oils, resulting from anthropogenic activities like transportation and offshore drilling, and accidental incidents such as oil spills. Once released, these PHs can persist in different ecosystems and cause long-term detrimental ecological impacts.

Even though technological relevance for nuclear and oxide fuel cell application has persuaded a large number of investigations on the YZrO system, its local structure still remains ambiguous and debatable. While diffraction-based investigations claim a lack of local ordering, the MAS NMR and Raman spectroscopic investigations speculate the presence of local ordering. Besides, a correlation between the local and global structures of YZrO is also missing to date.

On a global scale, gallbladder cancer is a relatively rare cancer with a striking variability in incidence across countries and world regions. We examined recent geographic variations worldwide based on national gallbladder cancer incidence estimates for the year 2022 from the GLOBOCAN database for 185 countries alongside recorded incidence data from the most recent volume of Cancer Incidence in Five Continents. In 2022, 122,491 new gallbladder cancer cases and 89,055 deaths were estimated to occur worldwide, of which 64.

Hall effects, including anomalous and topological types, in correlated ferromagnetic oxides provide an intriguing framework to investigate emergent phenomena arising from the interaction between spin-orbit coupling and magnetic fields. SrRuOis a widely studied itinerant ferromagnetic system with intriguing electronic and magnetic characteristics. The electronic transport of SrRuOis highly susceptible to the defects (O/Ru vacancy, chemical doping, ion implantation), and interfacial strain.

The low-valent germanium and tin hydrides, [LMH; L = {(ArHN)(ArN)-CN-C(NAr)(NHAr); Ar = 2,6-Et-CH}; M = Ge; (Ge-1), Sn (Sn-2)] bearing bis-guanidinato anions are employed as catalysts for chemoselective reduction of heterocumulenes hydroboration reactions. This protocol demonstrates that a wide range of carbodiimides (CDI), isocyanates, isothiocyanates, and isoselenocyanates undergo partial reduction, yielding the corresponding -boryl formamidine, -boryl formamide, -boryl thioformamide, and -boryl selenoformamide products, respectively. Isocyanates and isothiocyanates are further converted into -boryl methyl amines through hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) and hydrodesulfurization (HDS) reactions in the presence of catalyst Ge-1.
