BCR::ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) pose a substantial risk of thrombosis, leading to significant morbidity and mortality. Anticoagulant therapy, historically based on vitamin K antagonists (VKAs), has limitations in preventing recurrent thrombotic events and managing bleeding complications. Direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) offer a potential alternative with improved pharmacokinetics and compliance.

Objectives: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the prognostic importance of F-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG)-positive pelvic lymph nodes (LNs) and extra-pelvic disease on staging F-FDG positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in patients with bladder cancer.
Methods: Bladder cancer patients who underwent staging F-FDG PET/CT were included in the study. Histopathologic features of tumors, therapy histories, presence of distinguishable tumors on CT and PET images, sizes and maximum standardized uptake value (SUV) of primary tumors, total numbers, sizes, and SUV of F-FDG-positive pelvic and extra-pelvic LNs, and total numbers and SUV of distant metastases (M1a/1b) were recorded.

Objective: It is known that in the digital age we live in, people try to get information on many medical issues through Internet searches. Especially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering mental problems and health professionals' stay-at-home warnings, it has become difficult for individuals to receive psychiatric help, and this has encouraged accessing information about mental problems and their treatments through Internet searches. In this context, infodemiologic research, especially with Google Trends (GT; Google LLC, Mountain View, California, United States), has become very popular in recent years.

Background: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction is a complex and heterogeneous clinical syndrome, poses significant diagnostic challenges. The HFA-PEFF [Heart Failure Association of ESC diagnostic algorithm, P (Pretest Assessment), E (Echocardiographic and Natriuretic Peptide score), F1 (Functional testing in Case of Uncertainty), F2 (Final Aetiology)] and H2FPEF [Heavy (BMI>30 kg/m2), Hypertensive (use of ≥2 antihypertensive medications), atrial Fibrillation (paroxysmal or persistent), Pulmonary hypertension (Doppler Echocardiographic estimated Pulmonary Artery Systolic Pressure >35 mm Hg), Elderly (age >60 years), Filling pressure (Doppler Echocardiographic E/e' >9)] scoring systems were developed to aid in diagnosing heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. This study aimed to assess the concordance and clinical accuracy of these scoring systems in the 'A comPrehensive, ObservationaL registry of heart faiLure with mildly reduced and preserved ejection fractiON' cohort.

Background: Stigmatization is a situation that results from the negative perspective of society toward individuals with certain mental and physical illnesses and has negative effects. It has been observed that there are not enough studies in the literature investigating the attitudes of individuals with mental illness to cope with lifelong difficulties such as stigma and especially their religious coping attitudes. However, there are many clinical studies on general psychology and religious coping with varying results.

Background Surgical site infections (SSIs) are seen in the postoperative period in orthopedic and traumatology clinics. Just as in all surgical clinics, SSIs lead to patient dissatisfaction with the results, prolong the length of stay in the hospital, and increase treatment costs. SSIs are known to occur as a result of wound contamination through inoculation of microorganisms found mainly in the air or in the surgical area.

Objective: Although laparoscopic colon cancer surgeries have increased in recent years, their oncological competence is questioned. In our study, we aimed to evaluate oncological competence by comparing laparoscopic and open surgery.
Method: The study was planned retrospectively.
Purpose: The ratio of c-reactive protein-to-albumin (CRP/Alb) is a biochemical marker of systemic inflammatory response and has been associated with poor survival in cancer. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of CRP/Alb ratios on prognosis in gastric cancers.
Methods: This study included a retrospective review of a total of 147 patients with locally advanced gastric cancer.
Introduction: Patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) can be asymptomatic or have a normal calcium level (NHPT). Patients with 25(OH) vitamin D insufficiency, on the other hand, may present with a similar presentation. In regions where 25(OH) vitamin D deficiency is common, patients are usually diagnosed with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT).

: The measurement of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) has been suggested to be used in the evaluation of intracranial pressure of several etiologies. However, its potential utility in the clinical evaluation of patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) needs to be clarified. We recruited all the IIH patients who had been admitted to our neurology clinics and had a cranial MRI before lumbar puncture investigation.
