Hepatocellular carcinoma with sarcomatous change arising after eradication of HCV via interferon therapy.

A patient was diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C at the age of 63 years. He achieved eradication of HCV via interferon (IFN). Eight years after, a hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was detected and treated through transarterial embolization and percutaneous ethanol injection therapy.
