Background: "Donation gap" refers to the shortage of organ donors worldwide. The medical/nursing students and various healthcare workers have poor awareness and attitude toward organ donation.

Objective: We conducted this study to assess the current level of knowledge and perception regarding cadaver organ donation and transplantation among nursing students and to evaluate the impact of structured training interventions on their baseline knowledge and perception level.

Background: Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) are a primary cause of illness and death and increased expenditure due to prolonged hospitalization and poor prognosis. HAI is a global safety concern, according to World Health Organization (WHO). As we were on the road to recovery from the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, the world is waking up to yet another potential adversary. Monkeypox (or human monkeypox) caused by monkeypox virus (an orthopox virus) is fast emerging in more than 80 countries worldwide, where it has never been historically reported. We in India, have already seen the advent of this outbreak since July 2022, with a progressive rise in number of cases being seen.

Anaesthetic Management of Caesarean Section in a Term Pregnancy with Ventricular Septal Defect and Pulmonary Hypertension with Severe Pulmonary Stenosis.

Pregnancy with pulmonary hypertension - WHO risk class IV cardiac disease is associated with significant haemodynamic burden due to cardiocirculatory changes which is a significant indirect cause of maternal mortality. We report a very rare case - primigravida term pregnancy with pulmonary hypertension, large ventricular septal defect (2.4 cm(2)), bidirectional shunt mainly left to right with severe pulmonary stenosis with peak gradient of 144mmHg.

A comparison of granisetron and nitroglycerine for attenuating rocuronium pain: A double-blinded randomized, placebo controlled trial.

Background: The incidence of pain reported in literature after IV administration of rocuronium is 50-80%. The aim of our study was to determine whether pre-treatment with intravenous granisetron and nitroglycerine would reduce rocuronium-induced pain.

Methods: One hundred fifty patients of either sex, aged 18-65 years, American society of Anaesthesiologist grading (ASA) I-II, scheduled for various surgeries under general anesthesia were randomly assigned to one of the groups.
