Introduction: Human papilloma virus testing is a new method of screening for precancerous cervical lesions. Here we identified factors associated to the positive Human papilloma virus-testing in the context of cervical precancer screening at the Souro Sanou National Teaching Hospital in Burkina Faso.

Materials And Method: Conducted from June 2021-May 2022, this was a cross-sectional study, including patients aged between 25 and 55 years-old and screened for precancerous lesions and received HPV-testing at the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine (DGORM) of the SSNTH.

The underlying technology is constantly evolving, and recent advances in detection instrumentation and PET scanner design have significantly improved the medical diagnosis capabilities of this imaging modality, making it more efficient and opening the way to broader, innovative, and promising clinical applications.

Effect of the incorporation of polysaccharides from green alga Bryopsis plumosa on beef sausages quality.

Maintaining the quality and stability of functional meat products during storage is one of the major challenges of these products. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of polysaccharides extracted from green alga Bryopsis plumosa as a new natural additive in the formulation of beef sausages. In order to evaluate the impact of the incorporation of polysaccharides in beef sausages formulation, the physico-chemical, microbiological, and antioxidant properties were investigated during 12 days of storage at 4°C.

Computed tomography dose index (CTDI) is an unreliable dose estimate outside of the standard CTDI phantom diameters (16 and 32 cm). Size-specific dose estimate (SSDE) for head computed tomography (CT) examination was studied in the American Association of Physicists in Medicine Report 293 to provide SSDE coefficient factors based on water equivalent diameter as size metrics. However, it is limited to one protocol and for a fully irradiated organ.

Serum leptin correlates in fertile and idiopathic infertile Yemeni males: a comparative cross-sectional study.

This comparative cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the relationship between serum leptin and testosterone, FSH, LH, PRL and semen quality in fertile and idiopathic infertile Yemeni men. A total of 30 infertile males with unknown causes and 30 age-matched healthy fertile males were enrolled in this study. The body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) were measured.

Cross-cultural measurement invariance of the fear of COVID-19 scale in three Portuguese-speaking countries.

This study evaluated the measurement invariance of the Portuguese version of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) across three countries: Brazil (South America), Mozambique (East Africa), and Portugal (Southwest Europe). A total of 8694 participants were recruited through convenience sampling (7430 Brazilians, 387 Mozambicans, and 877 Portuguese adults). The unidimensional structure of the FCV-19S fitted well with each country's data.

Experimental validation of a linac head Geant4 model under a grid computing environment.

This work aims to present the strategy to simulate a clinical linear accelerator based on the geometry provided by the manufacturer and summarize the corresponding experimental validation. Simulations were performed with the Geant4 Monte Carlo code under a grid computing environment. The objective of this contribution is reproducing therapeutic dose distributions in a water phantom with an accuracy less than 2%.

Purpose: This study aimed to validate the Portuguese version of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) and investigate its association with sociodemographic and pandemic-related variables in the population of Mozambique.

Participants And Methods: A cross-sectional online survey recruited 387 Mozambicans aged 18 to 70 years. The psychometric properties of the Portuguese version of the FCV-19S were evaluated using confirmatory factor analysis and Rash analysis.

Strict quarantine measures implemented as a result of the pandemic have disrupted many aspects of people's lives, triggering psychological distress.
