Objective: This study was to systematically assess the occipital lobe gray and white matter volume of isolated ventriculomegaly (IVM) fetuses with MRI and to follow up the neurodevelopment of participants.
Method: MRI was used to evaluate 37 IVM fetuses and 37 control fetuses. The volume of gray and white matter in each fetal occipital gyrus was manually segmented and compared, and neurodevelopment was followed up and assessed in infancy and early childhood.

Fatty acid metabolism (FAM) is associated with prognosis and immune microenvironment remodeling in many tumors. It is currently unknown how FAM affects the immunological microenvironment and prognosis of Gastric cancer (GC). Therefore, the current work aims to categorize GC samples based on the expression status of genes involved in FAM and to identify populations that might benefit from immunotherapy.

Background: Migraine, a common chronic primary headache, has been found to be associated with a high risk of erectile dysfunction (ED).
Aim: The present study aims to summarize all the evidence related to this topic and demonstrate a quantified result on the association between migraine and ED, which has not been reported in the literature.
Methods: MEDLINE, Excerpta Medica Database, and Cochrane Library were systematically searched for identifying the eligible studies (2000-2021).

Objective: To investigate the characteristics of the tumor immune microenvironment in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and identify cancer stem-like properties of GIST to screen potential druggable molecular targets.
Methods: The gene expression data of 60 patients with GIST was retrieved from the Array Express database. CIBERSORT was applied to calculate the level of immune infiltration.

Background: Despite substantial evidence on the contribution of the diversity of the gut microbiome to the pathogenesis of asthma and allergic diseases, little is known about their relationship with asthma severity and/or clinical phenotypes. We analyzed the difference in composition of the gut microbiome between subjects with asthma and healthy subjects and explored its role in the development of asthma.
Methods: Fecal samples from 15 subjects with severe asthma (SA), 14 with non-severe asthma (NSA), and 15 healthy subjects were assessed by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing methods to identify the gut bacterial composition.

Purpose: We investigated the effectiveness, safety and compliance of Zheng's Supine Rehabilitation Exercise (ZSRE) as a rehabilitation programme among elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).
Patients And Methods: About 82 elderly patients with AECOPD were divided into a rehabilitation group and control group on their admission day, and both groups received routine medical treatment. Patients in the rehabilitation group started ZSRE on the second day of admission and continued until 8 weeks after discharge.

Objective: To investigate the effects and mechanism of yes-associated protein 1 (YAP1) on thyroid carcinoma cells.
Materials And Methods: Quantitative Real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blot assay were used to detect the expression of YAP1 in normal thyroid cells (HT-ori3) and four types of thyroid carcinoma cells: FTC-133, IHH-4, TPC-1 and NPA. The cell lines with the highest expression of YAP1 were selected as the experimental materials.
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), which catalyzes the breakdown of the essential amino acid tryptophan into kynurenine, is understood to have a key role in cancer immunotherapy. IDO has also received more attention because of its non-immune functions including regulating angiogenesis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of IDO on microvessel density (MVD), and to explore its prognostic role in breast cancer.

This network meta-analysis was conducted to compare effects of different placebo-controlled insulin-sensitizing drugs, including metformin, pioglitazone, rosiglitazone, and troglitazone on hormonal parameters in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients. We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases from their inception to July 2017. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) met our inclusion criteria were included.

Mitochondrial 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA synthase (HMGCS2) has been implicated in human cancers, but its role and clinical significance in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain unknown. Here, we show that HMGCS2 is downregulated and exhibits antimetastatic potential in HCC. Low expression of HMGCS2 was associated with poor tumor differentiation, vascular invasion and worse overall and disease-free survivals in two independent cohorts consisting of 743 cases.
