Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Surface & Interface Science, Henan Engineering Research Center of Technology and Equipment of Biodegradable Materials, School of Material and Chemical Engineering, Zhengzhou University of Light Industry, Zhengzhou 450002, PR China. Electronic address:

Developing highly efficient electrocatalysts to produce syngas with a stable hydrogen/carbon monoxide (H/CO) ratio in a wide potential window via electrochemical carbon dioxide (CO) reduction is desperately required but still challenging. Herein, a dual-atomic site on boron, nitrogen-codoped carbon nanotubes (BCN) has been designed, containing both cobalt (CoN) and nickel (NiNB) sites. Benefiting from the structure advantage and the bifunctional Co/Ni sites, such designed catalyst (CoNi-BCN) demonstrates remarkable performance for syngas production, achieving a stable H/CO ratio of 1.

The College of Veterinary Medicine, Henan Agricultural University, 218 Ping'an Avenue, Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou, 450046, Henan Province, China.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is a highly contagious and devastating enteric disease of pigs characterized by diarrhea, dehydration and 80-100% mortality in piglets, leading to substantial economic losses in the global swine industry. To investigate the prevalence of PEDV in Henan and Shaanxi provinces of China from 2022 to 2023, a total of 87 clinical samples (including intestinal tissues and faeces) were collected from diseased piglets during outbreaks of diarrhea on pig farms. Of the 87 samples, 32 (36.

Rhizoma Dioscoreae Bulbiferae (HYZ) is a widely utilized herb in clinical practice, known for its significant biological activities. However, the associated hepatotoxicity poses limitations to its application. Our previous research indicated that the effective mitigation of HYZ-induced hepatotoxicity through the concoction with Radix Paeoniae Alba medicinal juice involves the incorporation of paeoniflorin (Pae) and a reduction in diosbulbin B (DB), the primary toxic compound in HYZ.

December 2024

Hubei Key Laboratory of Lipid Chemistry and Nutrition, and Key Laboratory of Oilseeds Processing, Ministry of Agriculture, Oil crops and Lipids Process Technology National & Local Joint Engineering Laboratory, Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Wuhan, Hubei, China.

N-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 LCPUFAs) are essential for physiological requirements and disease prevention throughout life but are not adequately consumed worldwide. Dietary supplementation with plant-derived α-linolenic acid (ALA) has the potential to rebalance the fatty acid profile and enhance health benefits but faces challenges such as high β-oxidation consumption, low hepatic conversion efficiency, and high oxidative susceptibility under stress. This review focuses on the metabolic fate and potential regulatory targets of ALA-containing lipids , specifically the pathway from the gastrointestinal tract to the lymph, blood circulation, and liver.

Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is known to be among the prominent diagnostic bio-marker for acute myocardial infarction (AMI). In this paper, we proposed an electrochemical aptasensor with nanomaterial MoS/CuS-Au as the substrate material and perillaldehyde (PA) as the surface-initiated reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (SI-RAFT) polymerization monomer by mediating the in-situ deposition of silver metal on the electrode surface for ultrasensitive detection of cTnI. The substrate material MoS/CuS-Au not only accelerated the rate transfer between electron, but also provided more active sites for aptamers introduction.

Tetracycline (Tc) antibiotics, a class of synthetically produced broad-spectrum antimicrobial drugs, have been widely used in animal husbandry, leading to their widespread presence in animal-derived foods. However, misuse, overuse, and non-compliance with withdrawal periods in animal farming have resulted in excessive Tc residues in these foods, which can cause various adverse reactions in humans, induce bacterial resistance, and pose a significant threat to public health. Consequently, the detection of Tc antibiotic residues in animal-derived food has become a critical issue.
