Physical rehabilitation plays a critical role in enhancing health outcomes globally. However, the shortage of physiotherapists, particularly in developing countries where the ratio is approximately ten physiotherapists per million people, poses a significant challenge to effective rehabilitation services. The existing literature on rehabilitation often falls short in data representation and the employment of diverse modalities, limiting the potential for advanced therapeutic interventions.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most aggressive types of brain cancer, characterized by its poor prognosis and low survival rate despite current treatment modalities. Because GBM is lethal, clarifying the pathogenesis's underlying mechanisms is important, which are still poorly understood. Recent discoveries in the fields of molecular genetics and cancer biology have demonstrated the critical role that non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), especially long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), play in the molecular pathophysiology of GBM growth.

The current study represents a unique fabrication strategy for preparation of fluorescent hydrogels via incorporation of fluorescent quantum dots (QDs) as fluorophore entities into chitosan as a gelling matrix. QDs identified as carbon quantum dots (CQDs) & nitrogen containing carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) were preliminary synthesized from cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and cationic cellulose nanocrystals (CCNCs), respectively. Cationic CNCs was prepared via chemical grafting with poly-di-allyl dimethyl ammonium chloride (CNCs-g-poly-DADMAC) through free chain polymerization reaction.

Green routes for nucleation of nanostructures are recently applied for the biomedical applications, due to their affinity and feasibility. For instance, copper nanostructures are applicable for inhibition of microbial infections and ulcers. Hereby, this work is aimed at investigation for the possible contribution of Sidr honey (SH) in the formation of copper based-nanocomposites (Cu@SH).

The rapid increase in renewable energy integration and electric vehicle (EV) adoption creates significant challenges for the stability and efficiency of power distribution networks. This study addresses the need for optimized placement and sizing of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCSs), photovoltaic (PV) systems, and Distribution Static Compensators (DSTATCOMs) to enhance grid performance. The motivation for this work arises from the fluctuating nature of renewable energy generation and the unpredictable demands of EV charging, which strain existing infrastructure.

Metaflammation is low-grade inflammation triggered by chronic metabolic imbalance and caused by dysregulated metabolites in metabolic inflammatory syndrome (MIS), which includes four diseases: obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), atherosclerosis (AS), and nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases (NAFLD, recently proposed to be replaced by metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, MASLD). These diseases exhibit apparent sex dimorphism as regards MIS. Estrogen not only plays a crucial role in gender differences in adults but also possesses an anti-inflammatory effect on many metabolic diseases.

Background: Cervical cancer, though one of the most common cancers affecting women globally, holds immense potential for prevention through screening. Therefore, we conducted this meta-analysis to assess the rate of cervical cancer screening in Arab countries and identify barriers among those who did not participate.
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted from January 1st to June 1st,2024, including all observational studies that reported cervical cancer screening uptake in any Arab country.

Introduction: Impact loads applied to the human head can result in skull fractures or other injuries that require a craniectomy. The removed portion is replaced with biological or synthetic materials using cranioplasty surgery. Titanium has been the material of choice for cranial implants due to its superior properties and biocompatibility; however, its issues have prompted the search for substitute materials (e.

In the present investigation, the exergy of an innovative technique involving the integration of curved helical tubes with twisted passages was experimentally presented. This technique aims to improve the thermofluid characteristics by involving the swirl intensity of fluid flow in a twisted tube helical coil (TTHC). Six identical geometries with different pitch ratios Υ of 36 mm, 54 mm, and ∞ (smooth/no twisted) were experimentally explored at two different inner tube profiles of triangular and square cross-sections in counter flow arrangements.

The induction motor is known to be the most reliable motor in the industry and is also the most energy-consuming load worldwide. It is noticeable in some production areas that the use of a high-capacity induction motor is not required at some operating times, and therefore it is important to control the speed of the induction motor to suit the operating requirements and obtain highly efficient performance. This paper presents a case study of a drinking water purification plant that uses a variable speed drive (VSD) as a speed controller for one of its induction motors to drive the pump.

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) geofoam blocks are gaining acceptance across industries due to their low density, insulation properties, strength, compressibility, and shock absorption under dynamic loads. The effective application of EPS is impeded by restrictions imposed by using conventional polymer-based synthetic geomembrane insulation ought for protection. Meanwhile, the production process of the geomembrane has detrimental environmental impacts, incurs high costs, and limits the utilization of EPS blocks in various applications.

Leprosy is a chronic, debilitating disease lacking a definitive diagnostic biomarker. Serum anti-phenolic glycolipid-I (PGL-I) IgM antibody level is considered an important diagnostic and prognostic marker for leprosy patients. However, there is limited evidence on the role of anti-PGL-I IgM antibody level as early predictive biomarker of subclinical infection among Egyptian household contacts of leprosy patients.
