One of the most common components of most dorsal preservation (DP) techniques is subdorsal septal excision. Whatever the instrument used for this procedure (piezoelectric, Rongeur, or long scissors), it is paramount to be able to determine the exact subdorsal point (SDoP) at which the osteotomy/ostectomy (or cartilage cut) has been reached. First, to avoid any unnecessary extension of the osteotomy that increases the risk of fracture spreading into the cribriform plate and a consequent cerebrospinal fluid leak; second, to be sure that the subdorsal cut is high enough and can be combined/unified with the planned radix osteotomy.

Purpose: To compare the perioperative and postoperative outcomes between Oyster prostate vaporesection using Tm-YAG laser and the conventional transurethral prostatectomy using monopolar energy.
Methods: Patients with LUTS with an accumulative size of at least 60 ml were randomly assigned to one of two parallel groups to undergo Tm-YAG laser vaporesection (Group 1) or conventional monopolar transurethral prostatectomy (Group 2). The primary endpoints were the reduction in IPSS and the increase in Qmax postoperatively.
Background: Social cognition helps people to understand their own and others' behavior and to modulate the way of thinking and acting in different social situations. Introduction: Sexual dysfunction in patients with psychoses may be associated with the psychiatric illness itself (negative symptoms, such as apathy, and avolition), comorbid somatic health, psychosocial factors (stigmatization, discrimination), and the use of psychotropic drugs. In Greece, research into the study of antipsychotic-induced sexual dysfunction is not sufficient.
Aim: This study was conducted to translate and validate the Greek version of the Antipsychotics and Sexual Functioning Questionnaire (ASFQ) in a sample of patients receiving antipsychotic treatment.

A 48-year-old man, on acenocoumarol due to past aortic valve replacement, was referred to our emergency department for left thoracic pain, progressive dyspnea and fatigue gradually worsening over the past 24 hours. Thirty-one days ago he had suffered from left rib fractures due to a fall, while 15 days ago his regular follow-up chest X-ray was negative for hemopneumothorax. On admission, chest X-ray revealed left pleural effusion, while his peripheral blood hematocrit was 28% and the INR 3.

Purpose: To report the technique for deploying a 3-part endovascular graft onto the native aortic bifurcation for greater stent-graft stability.
Technique: The Zenith Composite Endovascular Graft is a 3-part system consisting of a proximal tubular body with an uncovered Gianturco Z stent, a distal bifurcated body, and a contralateral leg. Proximally, 8-mm flexible interstent gaps facilitate precise infrarenal aortic placement, even in angulated necks.

Carotid body tumors (CBTs) are rare neoplasms. Excision is the preferred treatment and is associated with low mortality and morbidity, although rates of cranial nerve dysfunction postoperatively and blood loss are still high. We herein present a case of a huge CBT, Shamblin group 3, managed successfully by the use of the Cavitral Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator after preoperative superselective embolization.
