Objective: The aim was to evaluate the difference of the behavior between the commercially available generic adapalene gel and original product with Topical Classification System (TCS), and to analyze the effect of changes of excipients on the release behavior.
Significance: Establishing performance assays to understand the impact of formulation variables on the critical quality attributes (CQA) is critical for the quality assessment of semi-solid generic drug.
Methods: release (IVR), permeation (IVP), viscosity, and pH measurement methods for adapalene gels were established and validated.

We previously screened 6 differentially expressed miRNAs in ovarian tissues of 4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide (VCD)-treated premature ovarian failure (POF) model in SD rats, including miRNA-190a-5p, miRNA-98-5p, miRNA-29a-3p, miRNA-144-5p, miRNA-27b-3p, miRNA-151-5p. In this study, to investigate the mechanisms causing the onset of POF, we first identified miRNAs with earlier differential expression at consecutive time points in the VCD-treated rat POF model and explored the mechanisms by which the target miRNAs promote POF. The SD rats were injected with VCD for 15 days to induce POF.

The results showed that physical forms of the related medicinal materials of cattle bile and sheep bile were chaotic, and the technical methods adopted in the quality standards were generally backward. In addition, there were still problems that some medicinal material standards lacked necessary test items, which were especially obvious in the relevant medicinal material standards of sheep bile and brought difficulties to quality evaluation and control.

Xin-Nao-Kang Capsule (XNKC), a well-known traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is widely used for the treatment of angina pectoris, cerebral arteriosclerosis and coronary artery disease in China. However, the chemical components have not been holistically explored. In this study, a total of 173 chemical components including 48 flavonoids, 8 lactones, 35 acids, 12 phenanthraquinones, 8 monoterpene glycosides, 32 triterpenoids and 30 other compounds were identified, among which 37 were unambiguously characterized in comparison with their corresponding authentic standards using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadruple time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS).

In the present study, the concentrations of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), mercury (Hg), and copper (Cu) in 2245 batches of Chinese herbal medicines (CHMs) were measured using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS). We developed a risk assessment strategy that assessed the heavy metal-associated health risk of CHMs based on our large dataset. Using a combination of the mean and 95th percentile (P95) values of the chronic daily intake (CDI), hazard quotient (HQ), hazard index (HI), and lifetime cancer risk (CR), the health risks of the average exposure population and the high exposure population were estimated, respectively.

Six polysaccharide fractions (Coriolus versicolor polysaccharides: CVPS-1, CVPS-2, CVPS-3, CVPS-4, CVPS-5 and CVPS-6) were isolated and purified from the fruiting bodies of C. versicolor by ion exchange chromatography and gel chromatography.
