To investigate the growth performance and the current status of resource utilization of in two important fish farming grounds (Dalong Lake and Amuta Lake) in Daqing, Northeast China, we collected 1513 samples from April to December 2018 for measurement and recording the basic biological characteristics. We estimated the parameters including population growth, mortality and exploitation using Von Bertalanffy growth formula, Beverton-Holt model, Pauly's empirical formula and length-based Bayesian biomass estimation method.

Performances of the hybrid between CyCa nucleocytplasmic hybrid fish and scattered mirror carp in different culture environments.

To improve the performance of growth traits and survival in common carp, CyCa nucleocytoplasmic hybrid fish (C) was used as parental fish for hybridization with Russian scattered mirror carp (R). Performances in morphological characters, growth traits and survival rate were compared among the purebreds (CC &RR) and crossbreds (RC &CR) at different time period in solitary and communal rearing system, respectively. The results demonstrated that both RC and CR crossbreds inherited the grey skin color type from the mirror carp, and got the full-scale pattern from the CyCa nucleocytoplasmic hybrid fish, which suggested that the grey color dominated to red color and full-scale dominated to scattered scale.

White spot syndrome virus loads, heterotrophic bacteria, and water quality (including temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), salinity, pH, NH-N, and NO-N) were continually monitored through one tropical storm. The WSSV loads decreased when tropical storm made landfall, and substantially increased when typhoon passed.
