Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common metabolic disease that adversely impacts patient health. In this study, a T2DM model was established in ICR mice through the administration of a high-sugar and high-fat diet combined with the intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin to explore the hypoglycemic effect of polysaccharides from L. After six weeks of treatment, the mice in the high-dosage group (800 mg/kg bw) displayed significant improvements in terms of fasting blood glucose concentration, glucose tolerance, serum insulin level, insulin resistance, and weight loss ( < 0.

Black-bone fowl are different from ordinary broilers in appearance and are considered to have rich nutritional properties. However, the metabolism of therapeutic drugs in black-bone fowl remains unclear. This study aimed to determine the tissue residue depletion kinetics of trimethoprim and sulfachloropyridazine in Yugan black-bone fowl, after daily oral administrations for 5 days at 4 mg/kg bw/day trimethoprim and 20 mg/kg bw/day sulfachloropyridazine, and to calculate the withdrawal times.

Effective integrated methods for oil-water separation and water remediation have signifi-cance in both energy and environment fields. Materials with both superlyophobic and superlyophilic properties toward water and oil have aroused great attention due to their energy-saving and high-efficient advantages in oil-water separation. However, in order to fulfill the superlyophobicity, low surface tension fluorinated components are always being introduced.

Development and Evaluation of Topical Delivery of Microemulsions Containing Adapalene (MEs-Ap) for Acne.

AAPS PharmSciTech

April 2021

Department of Food and Environment Engineering, Heilongjiang East University, 1 Hanan Road, Harbin, 150086, People's Republic of China.

The main objective of the study was to prepare the microemulsions containing adapalene (MEs-Ap) to enhance epidermal penetration, dermal retention, and local bioavailability compared with the commercial preparation. The optimal formulations were selected by solubility experiments, pseudo-ternary phase diagram, and percutaneous permeation experiments and the physiochemical properties were also investigated. Then, the study of permeability, retention, safety, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacokinetics in the skin for MEs-Ap compared with the commercial preparation were researched.

Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Ecological Restoration and Resource Utilization for Cold Region, College of Life Sciences, Heilongjiang University, Harbin, 150080, People's Republic of China.

Background: Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are the most widely distributed mycorrhizal fungi, which can form mycorrhizal symbionts with plant roots and enhance plant stress resistance by regulating host metabolic activities. In this paper, the RNA sequencing and ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) technologies were used to study the transcriptome and metabolite profiles of the roots of continuously cropped soybeans that were infected with F. mosseae and F.

Interfacial engineering by creating Cu-based ternary heterostructures on CN tubes towards enhanced photocatalytic oxidative coupling of benzylamines.

RSC Adv

Key Laboratory of Functional Inorganic Material Chemistry, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Heilongjiang University Harbin 150080 China

Benzylamine coupling is a very important reaction for the synthesis of imine but still faces many challenges. Herein, we present a highly effective strategy towards the coupling reaction by using environmentally friendly catalysts. These catalysts are composed of Cu/CuO/CuN heterostructures supported by CN tubes and the composites were synthesized by one-step hydrothermal treatment followed by calcination.

The nutritional value of mutton chop rolls is gradually recognized by people, but it is easy to cause microbial contamination during storage, leading to spoilage and shortening of storage time. The bacterial diversity of mutton chop rolls in different cold preservation time was analyzed to explore the main pathogens of spoilage of mutton chop rolls. At the same time, the oxidative state of myoglobin and the change of mitochondrial Metmyoglobin (MMb) Reduction Ability (MRA) in different cold preservation were studied.

Physiological Adaptive Strategies of Oil Seed Crop Early Seedlings (Cotyledon vs. True Leaf) Under Salt and Alkali Stresses: From the Growth, Photosynthesis and Chlorophyll Fluorescence.

Front Plant Sci

January 2019

Key Laboratory of Saline-alkali Vegetation Ecology Restoration, Ministry of Education, Alkali Soil Natural Environmental Science Center, Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China.

is an important energy crop and is considered as one of the most potential plants for salt-alkali soil improvement in Northeast China. Early seedling stage (such as the cotyledon expansion stage) is always a vulnerable stage but plays a vital role in plant establishment, especially under stress conditions. However, little information exists concerning the function of cotyledon and the relationship between cotyledon and true leaf in the adaptation to salt stress and alkali stress of this species.

Bacterial diversity in antibiotic wastewater treatment.

Water Sci Technol

March 2014

College of Life Science, Heilongjiang University, Harbin 150080, Heilongjiang, China E-mail: Heilongjiang East University, Harbin 150086, Heilongjiang, China.

The bacterial diversity of an antibiotic industrial wastewater treatment system was analyzed to provide the information required for further optimization of this process and for identification of bacterial strains that perform improved degradation of antibiotic industrial wastewater. The total bacterial DNA of samples collected at three stages (aeration, precipitation, and idle) during the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) process were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) of the 16 s rDNA V3 regions. Community analysis was conducted in terms of the richness value (S), the dominance degree and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H).
