For many viruses, controlling the process of infection is largely dependent on the enzymes of the fatty acid synthesis (FAS) pathway. An appealing therapeutic target in antiviral research is fatty acid synthetase (FASN), a crucial enzyme in the FAS pathway. Bovine viral diarrhea, caused by the Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV), is a significant viral infectious disease posing a substantial threat to global animal husbandry.

Background: Bacteria can develop resistance to various antibiotics under selective pressure, leading to multifaceted changes in resistance mechanisms. Transcriptomic sequencing allows for the observation of transcriptional level alterations in cells under antibiotic stress. Understanding the bacterial response to such stress is essential for deciphering their strategy against drug-resistant antibiotics and identifying potential targets for antibiotic development.

Electronic address:

Article Synopsis
  • Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) causes a reduction in lymphocyte levels and affects CD8 T-cell function, with PD-1 blockade enhancing T-cell activation during certain types of BVDV infection.
  • Ascorbic acid (AA) has been shown to restore lymphocyte activity in other viral infections, and this study investigates its effects alongside PD-1 blockade during BVDV infection.
  • Results demonstrated that AA supplementation increased CD8 T-cell activation, suppressed viral replication, and showed a synergistic effect with PD-1 blockade, particularly beneficial during cytopathic BVDV infection and influencing functions during non-cytopathic BVDV infection.

This research aims to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of vegetation ecological restoration by integrating Multispectral Remote Sensing (MRS) and laser point cloud (LPC) monitoring technologies. Traditional vegetation restoration monitoring methods often face challenges of inaccurate data and insufficient coverage, and the use of MRS or LPC techniques alone has its limitations. Therefore, to more accurately monitor the vegetation restoration status, this study proposes a new monitoring method that combines the advantages of the large-scale coverage of MRS technology and the high-precision three-dimensional structural data analysis capability of LPC technology.

Rapid detection of corn moisture content(MC) during maturity is of great significance for field cultivation, mechanical harvesting, storage, and transportation management. However, cumbersome operation, time-consuming and labor-intensive operation were the bottleneck in the traditional drying process and dielectric parameter method. Thus, to overcome the above problems, a rapid detection method for corn MC based on improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (ICEEMDAN) combined with temporal convolutional network-bidirectional gated recurrent unit (TCN-BiGRU) model.

Nutritional and metabolic state in dairy cows are important determinants of the immune response. During the periparturient period, a state of negative energy balance in the cow increases plasma concentrations of fatty acids, which are associated with inflammation. Among immune cells, CD4 T are able to function under high fatty acid (High-FA) conditions, but the underlying mechanisms regulating these events remain unclear.
