High-quality aromatic rice (HAR) is most sensitive to low-temperature stress at the booting stage (LTB), and LTB leads to quality reduction. The key enzymes involved in nitrogen and carbon metabolism significantly affect the synthesis of proteins and starch, thereby influencing the nutritional and taste quality of rice. However, to date, no studies have focused on the after-effects of low-temperature at booting on the quality formation of HAR.

The hetero photooxidation of sulfide under aqueous conditions is of great importance in the green synthesis of sulfoxide. This process requires a type of solid photocatalyst with the properties of high porosity and water stability, as well as photosensitivity. Herein, a stable Ir-Zr-MOF material (compound 1) with high porosity is assembled from two linear linkers of a 2-phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic acid-Ir(III) complex (Irphen) and 4,4'-stilbenedicarboxylic acid (HSDC), and a Zr cluster.

This study aims to design and synthesize a series of novel formononetin (FMN) derivatives and explore their protective effects on oxygen glucose deprivation/relapse (OGD/R) damage to H9C2 cells, along with their molecular regulatory mechanisms. The OGD/R model was established to simulate myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. The protective effects of these novel compounds on H9C2 cells were evaluated using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method, while the apoptosis rate, myocardial enzyme activity, and autophagy reaction post-compound treatment were assessed using kit-based methods.

Co-pollution caused by antibiotics and antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARB) in wastewater has led to widespread concerns. Hence, their targeted and synergistic decontamination is urgently required. A homogeneous Fenton-like oxidation system comprising cupric complexes-activated peroxymonosulfate (PMS) was demonstrated to synergistically decontaminate trace quinolones (QNs) and QNs-resistant Serratia marcescens (QRSM) in wastewater.

Terahertz absorbers play a crucial role in terahertz detectors, radar stealth, electromagnetic shielding, and other fields. However, the design and fabrication of flexible terahertz broadband absorbers remain a challenge at present. Here, we demonstrated a terahertz broadband absorber based on a copper composite film (CCF) consisting of a copper foam and an organic silica gel doped with FeO powder.

Wastewater purification has evolved into a global problem in the face of increasing scarcity of freshwater resources. Photocatalysis technology possesses prominent advantages in treating pollutants in water because of its low cost and mild reaction conditions, which provides an effective way to treat multiple pollutants and reduce membrane fouling. Herein, we combine photocatalysis technology with filtration technology via in situ reduction Bi with BiSiO strategy incorporating a carbonized wood filter to synthesize carbon/BiSiO@Bi bi-functional composite.

As the mainstream and trend of urban development in China, deeply exploring the spatiotemporal patterns and influencing mechanisms of ecosystem service value in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is of great significance for achieving sustainable development goals in urban agglomerations. This paper uses the normalized difference vegetation index and net primary productivity as dynamic adjustment factors to measure the ecosystem service value of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and analyze its spatiotemporal evolution characteristics. Furthermore, a panel quantile regression model is constructed to explore the response differences of ecosystem service value at different levels to various influencing factors.

The flowering period of rice significantly impacts variety adaptability and yield formation. Properly shortening the reproductive period of rice varieties can expand their ecological range without significant yield reduction. Targeted genome editing, like CRISPR/Cas9, is an ideal tool to fine-tune rice growth stages and boost yield synergistically.

Earthworm cultivation can effectively promote the resource utilization of agricultural waste. The efficient utilization of agricultural waste by earthworms mainly depends on the microbial communities in the guts. This study used silkworm excrement and cow manure as substrates for earthworm cultivation and investigated the associated bacterial communities during earthworms' growth.

Room temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials are increasingly recognized for their superior luminescent properties, which are pivotal in applications such as anti-counterfeiting, information storage, and optoelectronics. Despite this, the sensitivity of most RTP systems to humidity presents a significant challenge in achieving durable RTP performance in aqueous environments. This study proposes a strategy to enhance organic room-temperature phosphorescence through racemization.

The gut microbiome significantly influences the health and productivity of silkworms (), the cornerstone of sericulture. With the increasing use of cost-effective artificial diets in sericulture, it is crucial to understand how these diets impact the silkworm gut microbiomes. Here we employed 16S rRNA sequencing to delineate the impact of three distinct dietary regimens on the silkworm gut microbiomes: exclusive mulberry leaf diet (SY), exclusive artificial feed diet (SL), and a sequential transition from artificial feed to mulberry leaves (ZS).
