High-quality aromatic rice (HAR) is most sensitive to low-temperature stress at the booting stage (LTB), and LTB leads to quality reduction. The key enzymes involved in nitrogen and carbon metabolism significantly affect the synthesis of proteins and starch, thereby influencing the nutritional and taste quality of rice. However, to date, no studies have focused on the after-effects of low-temperature at booting on the quality formation of HAR.

The hetero photooxidation of sulfide under aqueous conditions is of great importance in the green synthesis of sulfoxide. This process requires a type of solid photocatalyst with the properties of high porosity and water stability, as well as photosensitivity. Herein, a stable Ir-Zr-MOF material (compound 1) with high porosity is assembled from two linear linkers of a 2-phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic acid-Ir(III) complex (Irphen) and 4,4'-stilbenedicarboxylic acid (HSDC), and a Zr cluster.

Synthesis of Formononetin Derivatives and Cardioprotective Effects.

Chem Pharm Bull (Tokyo)

November 2024

Guangxi Collaborative Innovation Center of Modern Sericulture and Silk, Hechi University.

This study aims to design and synthesize a series of novel formononetin (FMN) derivatives and explore their protective effects on oxygen glucose deprivation/relapse (OGD/R) damage to H9C2 cells, along with their molecular regulatory mechanisms. The OGD/R model was established to simulate myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury. The protective effects of these novel compounds on H9C2 cells were evaluated using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method, while the apoptosis rate, myocardial enzyme activity, and autophagy reaction post-compound treatment were assessed using kit-based methods.

November 2024

State Key Laboratory of Featured Metal Materials and Life-cycle Safety for Composite Structures, School of Resources, Environment and Materials, Guangxi University, Nanning 530004, China. Electronic address:

Wastewater purification has evolved into a global problem in the face of increasing scarcity of freshwater resources. Photocatalysis technology possesses prominent advantages in treating pollutants in water because of its low cost and mild reaction conditions, which provides an effective way to treat multiple pollutants and reduce membrane fouling. Herein, we combine photocatalysis technology with filtration technology via in situ reduction Bi with BiSiO strategy incorporating a carbonized wood filter to synthesize carbon/BiSiO@Bi bi-functional composite.

As the mainstream and trend of urban development in China, deeply exploring the spatiotemporal patterns and influencing mechanisms of ecosystem service value in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is of great significance for achieving sustainable development goals in urban agglomerations. This paper uses the normalized difference vegetation index and net primary productivity as dynamic adjustment factors to measure the ecosystem service value of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and analyze its spatiotemporal evolution characteristics. Furthermore, a panel quantile regression model is constructed to explore the response differences of ecosystem service value at different levels to various influencing factors.
