Background: Legg-Calve-Perthes disease (LCPD) is a form of idiopathic femoral head necrosis that can lead to permanent femoral head deformities and premature osteoarthritis in children under the age of 15. Its pathogenesis is utterly and remains to be clarified. Although many research publications on LCPD have emerged during the last few decades, few systematic bibliometric analyses of these articles have been reported.

Remimazolam versus propofol for deep sedation/anaesthesia in upper gastrointestinal endoscopy in elderly patients: A multicenter, randomized controlled trial.

Background And Objective: Propofol is the most commonly used sedative in gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, but is associated with cardiorespiratory suppression, particularly in elderly patients. Remimazolam is a new short-acting GABA(A) receptor agonist with minimal impact on cardiorespiratory suppression, and may be a viable alternative in elderly patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Association of acute kidney injury with frailty in elderly population: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

The objective of this study was to assess whether an elderly patient's frailty was associated with acute kidney injury (AKI) and to examine whether severe frailty group had an increased risk of AKI than mild-moderate group. We searched The Cochrane Library, PubMed, and EMBASE for relevant studies without language limitations before 1 March 2019 with a priori defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Five population-based cohort studies were included for systematic review and meta-analysis.
