To investigate the value of preoperative ultrasound combined with 99mTc-MIBI imaging for the diagnosis of ectopic intrathyroid parathyroid gland (ETPG) in patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT). One hundred and eleven patients with SHPT who underwent total parathyroidectomy plus forearm transplantation from January 2015 to January 2022 in the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University were selected. All patients underwent routine preoperative ultrasonography and 99mTc-MIBI imaging, and with pathological diagnosis as the gold standard, the clinical data of ETPG patients were selected, including clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, preoperative ultrasonography and 99mTc-MIBI imaging for localization and diagnosis, intraoperative exploration and postoperative pathology, and postoperative follow-up.

Diabetes leads to lower zinc (Zn) levels, an important micronutrient for maintaining male fertility, and zinc deficiency can lead to decreased male fertility through multiple mechanisms. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of combined metformin and zinc administration on epididymis in diabetic mice; 10 of 50 male mice were randomly selected as the control group (group C), and the remaining 40 mice were randomly divided into untreated diabetes group (group D), diabetes + zinc group (group Z), diabetes + metformin group (group M), and diabetes + metformin + zinc group (group ZM) with 10 mice each.

This study aimed to analyze the expression of lymphocyte ratio (LY%) in different stages and clinical staging of COVID-19 and explore the relationship between peripheral blood lymphocyte (PBL) ratio and COVID-19 severity to provide reference for early intervention. For this purpose, a total of 125 patients with COVID-19 admitted to Hebei Provincial People's Hospital from February 1, 2020, to March 1, 2022, were reviewed and divided into moderate, severe, and critical groups by the severity to analyze and compare peripheral lymphocyte ratios of patients with different clinical typing. Radiotherapy is widely used in the treatment of liver cancer, but the efficacy can be limited by radioresistance. In this study, we attempt to delineate the possible molecular mechanism of c-Jun-regulated Jumonji domain-containing protein 6/interleukin 4/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (JMJD6/IL-4/ERK) axis in radioresistance of liver cancer. The expression of c-Jun was quantified in liver cancer tissues and cell lines, and the results indicated that c-Jun was upregulated in liver cancer tissues and cells.
