Image fusion technology had been widely applied in image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) for prostate cancer (PCa) based on the gold fiducial mark (GFM). Image fusion technology included the fusion of CT image, magnetic resonance image, and ultrasound image internally or externally. The application of image fusion technology had improved the identification accuracy of GFM and was helpful for the plan design of PCa radiotherapy.

To investigate the expression of high mobility group box B-1 (HMGB-1) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) and its association with clinicopathological features and prognosis in colorectal carcinoma by combining bioinformatics and clinical data analysis, and to clarify the role of HMGB-1. To examine whether HMGB-1 expression is related to the damage of the intestinal mucosal barrier, and then explore the potential HMGB-1-dependent mechanisms affecting the progression of CRC. CRC datasets of GSE12945, GSE17536, and GSE17537 from the public gene chip database were screened and downloaded.

Article Synopsis
  • Sodium tanshinone IIA sulphate (STS) shows potential anti-tumor effects against lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) by significantly reducing cell viability, migration, invasion, and angiogenesis.
  • The study found that STS's effectiveness is partly mediated by miR-874, which targets eEF-2K; downregulation of miR-874 diminishes STS's antitumor impact.
  • Overall, the findings suggest that STS could be a promising treatment for lung cancer, especially when combined with traditional chemotherapy, by targeting specific molecular pathways.

Background: Obesity is associated with brain intrinsic functional reorganization. However, little is known about the BMI-related interhemispheric functional connectivity (IHFC) alterations, and their link with executive function in young healthy adults.

Methods: We examined voxel-mirrored homotopic connectivity (VMHC) patterns in 417 young adults from the Human Connectome Project.

Aim: This study aimed to analyze the effects of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors on the indexes of liver fibrosis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and also to observe the effects on liver enzymes and liver fat.

Methods: This meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 statistical software.

Background: Programmed cell death receptor 1 (PD-1) and T cell immunoglobulin mucin-3 (Tim-3) are considered as important immunosuppressive molecules and play an important role in tumor immune escape and cancer progression. However, it remains unclear whether PD-1 and Tim-3 are coexpressed in stage I-III colorectal cancer (CRC) and how they impact on the prognosis of the disease.

Materials And Methods: A total of two cohorts with 451 patients who underwent surgery for stage I-III CRC treatment were enrolled in the study.

Objective: To observe the effects of mesenteric lymph drainage and transfusion on pump activity and oxygen free radical of erythrocyte membrane of rats following hemorrhagic shock or normal, respectively.

Methods: Twenty-four male Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham-shock group, shock group, shock mesenteric lymph drainage group (drainage group) and shock mesenteric lymph transfusion group (transfusion group) by randomization, with 6 rats in each group. Model of hemorrhagic shock was reproduced both in shock group and drainage group after anesthesia and operation, mesenteric lymph was drained 1 hour after shock in drainage group.

Objective: To explore the effect of mesenteric lymph duct ligation in protecting myocardial injury in rats after hemorrhage and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) challenge.

Methods: Wistar rats were randomly divided into the sham group, non-ligation group and ligation group, and the "two-hit" injury model was reproduced by hemorrhage and LPS administration. Mesenteric lymph was blocked by ligating mesenteric lymph duct in ligation group after hemorrhage.
