Aggregation-induced emission fluorogens (AIEgens) with intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) characteristic are widely used in the detection of various analytes owing to their highly tunable fluorescence emission properties. However, facilely synthesis of AIEgens with ICT characteristic for multiple sensing is still rare and limited in use. The expansion of two-dimensional conjugated systems in nonfullerene electron acceptors (NFAs) has significantly advanced the molecular design and efficiency potential of organic solar cells (OSCs). This study introduces a novel class of NFAs featuring a benzimidazole core with varying degrees of peripheral fluorination, designated as YIS-4F, YIS-6F, and YIS-8F, respectively. Through systematic modulation of fluorine content, we observed that OSCs incorporating YIS-6F achieved the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.

Introduction: Previous research has highlighted the influence of visual search (VS) on reading comprehension (RC); however, the underlying mechanisms of this effect remain poorly understood, particularly in children with reading disabilities. This study explores disparities in VS, word detection skills (WD), reading fluency (RF), and RC between Chinese children with developmental dyslexia (DD) and their typically developing peers across different age groups.
Methods: The sample comprised 191 students from grades 2, 4, and 6, including 92 children with dyslexia and 99 chronological age-matched controls.

The development of materials with high ambipolar mobility is pivotal for advancing multifunctional applications, yet such materials remain scarce. Presently, cubic boron arsenide (BAs) stands out as the premier ambipolar material, demonstrating an ambipolar mobility of ∼1600 cm V s at room temperature [ 2022, 377, 433 and 2022, 377, 437]. Herein, we illustrate that semiconducting AlBC, featuring a nonclathrate B-C framework in which a C atom bonds to the vertices of four distorted hexagonal antiprism B units via quasi-sp hybridization, is predicted to possess ambipolar carrier transport behavior.

Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have garnered extensive attention owing to their unique properties and versatile application. Here, a family of 2D rare-earth metal phosphides (MP, M = Sc, Y, La) and their derivatives MPOT (T = F, OH) is developed to find their topological and electronic properties on the basis of density functional theory simulations. We show that the 2D MP compounds are most possibly obtained from thermodynamically stable MInP by chemical exfoliation.

Methods: A total of 479 patients with primary pterygium who were admitted to our hospital from March 2019 to March 2023 were randomly divided into three groups: the normal group (Group A: 89 patients), the control group (Group B: 195 patients), and the modified group (Group C: 195 patients). Each group received different intervention measures.

A new family of ethacrynic acid-functionalized, chalcone-hydroxypyrone hybrid ruthenium(II)-arene complexes (4a-4e) have been designed, synthesis and fully characterized by H and C NMR, ESI-MS, elemental analysis, and melting point tests. The molecular structure of 3a, one of the precursor complexes, has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The cytotoxicity of the obtained complexes toward human cancer cell lines such as HeLa, MGC803, A549, MDA-MB-231, and MCF-7 cells have been investigated by MTT assay.
