Effects of natural orifice transluminal endoscopic radical resection of the colon and targeted therapy on immune response and blood CA199 and CA242 levels in colorectal cancer.

To examine the effect of natural orifice transluminal endoscopic radical resection combined with targeted therapy on the immune system and serum levels of CA199 and CA242 in individuals with colorectal cancer. We enrolled 90 patients admitted to our hospital with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer between February 2020 and May 2022 and divided them into 2 groups according to the treatment methods: observation group (n = 45) and control group (n = 45). Patients in the control group underwent conventional laparoscopic radical resection of the colon followed by targeted therapy, whereas those in the observation group underwent natural orifice transluminal endoscopic radical resection of the colon and targeted therapy.

Purpose: Both poor sleep and diabetic kidney disease are closely associated with inflammation. However, the correlation between poor sleep and diabetic kidney disease has not been well clarified. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine the mediating role that inflammatory markers play in the pathogenic effect of poor sleep on the severity of diabetic kidney disease (DKD).

Background: Azilsartan medoxomil (AZL-M), an angiotensin II receptor blocker, has a well-characterized efficacy and safety profile in patients with hypertension. Introduction: This study aimed to explore the bio-function of miR-210 in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia and provide new insights into the diagnosis and treatment of pre-eclampsia.

Material And Methods: A JAR cell line cultured in standard or hypoxic conditions was used in this study. Expression levels of miR-210 and PTPN2 were determined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).

[Experience of 14 cases using hemi-semilaminectomy microsurgery treating by spinal dural arteriovenous fistula].

To explore the efficacy and feasibility of the hemi-semilaminectomy microsurgical operation treatment of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula (SDAVF). The clinical data of 32 patients with SDAVF were analyzed retrospectively. Before operation all patients were diagnosed by spinal MRI and spinal angiography, 14 patients were treated by hemi-semilaminectomy approach and other 18 patients were by traditional laminectomy approach.

MAPK pathway mediates the anti-oxidative effect of chicoric acid against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury .

The aim of the present study was to investigate the protective effect of chicoric acid on oxidative stress and inflammation in rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury. A cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury rat model was created via transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) and rats were treated with various doses of chicoric acid (0, 1, 10 and 100 mg/kg). Neurological deficits and infarct volume were used to estimate the protective effects of chicoric acid treatment.

Expression of C1q/TNF-related protein-3 (CTRP3) in serum of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus and its relationship with insulin resistance.

Objective: In this study, the changes of insulin resistance (IR) and pancreatic β-cell function in GDM patients were observed, changes of CTRP3 level in fasting serum and relationships with plasma glucose (PG) and pancreatic β-cell function were explored at the same time, and the correlation between serum CTRP3 and body mass index (BMI) was preliminarily discussed, providing a new way to identify the pathogenesis of GDM.

Patients And Methods: Data of women from 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy were collected. 100 women were selected to form gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) group and another 100 women were chosen to constitute normal glucose tolerance (NGT) group according to the results of oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).

As an effective tyrosine kinase inhibitor, oxyresveratrol may prevent herpes virus infection, inflammation and oxidative stress, as well as protect nerves. Downregulation of serum miR-140-5p predicts poor prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been demonstrated to play a central role in the initiation and development in many types of cancers including colorectal carcinoma (CRC). The purpose of current study was to investigate the clinical significance of serum miR-140-5p in CRC. Real-time PCR was performed to compare the expression level of miR-140-5p in the serum samples from 63 CRC patients, 20 patients with adenomas and 20 healthy controls.

Alteration of Hemostatic Parameters in Patients with Different Levels of Subclinical Hypothyroidism and the Effect of L-thyroxine Treatment.

Subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) is associated with hypercoagulability and hypofibrinolysis. The objective of this study was to assess the effect of L-thyroxine (L-T4) treatment and to evaluate changes in the hemostatic abnormalities of patients with varying severities of SH. We measured tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA), plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), D-dimer (DDI), fibrinogen (FIB), platelet counts (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), and prothrombin time (PT) in 149 female subjects.

Background: Literatures reported that poor sleep complaints were associated with a great deal of health outcomes. However, there are few studies on the association of poor sleep complaints with diabetic vascular complications.

Methods: Aiming on the association, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1220 diabetic patients in this study.

This study aims to investigate the value of high-resolution color Doppler ultrasonography (HR-CDU) in the evaluation of lower-extremity vasculopathy (LEV) and its related risk factors in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. Two hundred forty T2DM patients were selected, who underwent lower-extremity arterial HR-CDU. The patients were divided into the LEV group (V group) and the nonvasculopathy group (A group).

Preferences for treatment of lobectomy in Chinese lung cancer patients: video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery or open thoracotomy?

Background: This study was designed to investigate the preferences for treatment of lobectomy in Chinese lung cancer patients and differences in the psychological and social factors that influence treatment decision-making.

Methods: One hundred and forty patients with stage I lung cancer were recruited from Hebei Cangzhou Central Hospital. Before surgery, the patients completed a questionnaire that surveyed their preferences for treatment and the relevant influencing factors.
