Tocilizumab Reduces Lung Injury in a Rat Lung Ischemia and Reperfusion Model.

Objective: In this study, the effect of tocilizumab (TCZ) on lung tissue in lung ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats was investigated.

Material And Methods: A total of 24 Wistar rats were divided into 4 equal groups, with 6 rats in each group: Left lung I/R was applied to I/R groups. In the I/R groups, the left lung hilum was clamped for 45 minutes, and then the clamp was removed and reperfused for 120 minutes.

Evaluation of temporomandibular joint disorder in headache patients.

Objective: The present study is aimed at determining the percentage of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) in patients admitted to the neurology outpatient clinic with a headache complaint and to evaluate the association of TMD with the presence of bruxism and headache traits.

Materials And Methods: A total of 349 headache patients were included in the study. The headache type, characteristics of the headache (incidence, duration, and severity of attacks), and the scores of the migraine disability scale (MIDAS) and Allodynia Symptom Scale (ASC-12T) were examined considering the presence of sleep bruxism.

Clinical and radiological evaluation of surgical management in olecranon fracture-dislocations.

Purpose: The treatment of olecranon fracture-dislocations (OFDs) remains challenging. OFDs are often misdiagnosed as Monteggia lesions, and the real frequency is actually higher. However, studies on OFDs are limited.

Approach to Patients with Malignant Melanoma of Unknown Primary Origin.

Objectives: Although malignant melanoma accounts for 3% of skin cancers, it is responsible for 75% of deaths associated with skin cancer. In our study, all melanoma cases diagnosed and treated at our clinic were retrospectively reviewed, and the cases of unknown primary origin among them were examined in detail in terms of diagnosis and treatment.

Methods: The patients with malignant melanoma treated at the inpatient services of our clinic between January 1991 and April 2017 were retrospectively screened in the records.

A 4-year single-center experience in the management of esophageal perforation.

Background: Esophageal perforation (EP) is a lethal surgical emergency that needs to be diagnosed and treated immediately. Diagnosis and treatment options for EP are limited due to its lower incidence. There are scoring systems proposed for this purpose; however, they cannot be applied to every patient.

Alien hand syndrome and migraine with aura: A case report.

Background: Alien Hand Syndrome (AHS) is an uncontrollable, involuntary, but in appearance, purposeful motor control disorder of the upper extremity.

Case Report: A 42-year-old male patient was admitted to our clinic complaining of involuntary motor activity in his right hand. He had a previous history of migraine with visual aura.
