Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the potential influence of refractive error on Video Head Impulse Test outcomes.

Material And Methods: Eighty-two patients were included in the study, and all patients underwent video head impulse testing. Patients were divided into four groups according to their refractive error: myopia, myopia-astigmatism, astigmatism, and emmetropia as control.

Effect of Various Modes of Mechanical Ventilation in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies on Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter and Cognitive Functions.

In this study, we aim at investigating the effects of volume-controlled ventilation (VCV) and pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV) modes on changes in the optic nerve diameter and cognitive functions in laparoscopic cholecystectomy operations. Sixty patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into two groups based on the mode of mechanical ventilation provided: Group P; PCV, Group V; VCV. Optic nerve sheath diameter was measured when the patient was awake (T0), in the 10th minute after induction (T1), in the 10th minute after the initiation of gas insufflation (T2), when maximum gas pressure was reached in the reverse-Trendelenburg position (T3), and pre-extubation (T4).

Transcatheter treatment of partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection to left subclavian vein.

Reports of transcatheter treatment for dual drainage of an abnormal pulmonary venous connection are rare. Presently described is the case of a 27-year-old female with exertional dyspnea and a partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection of the left upper pulmonary vein with dual drainage to a vertical vein (VV) and the left atrium. The patient was evaluated with a balloon occlusion test to determine whether closing the anomalous VV connection would increase pulmonary pressure.

In this study our aim was to evaluate the nosocomial infections and to understand factors affecting the cost of used antibiotics in palliative care unit. Between 2016 and 2017, 113 patients were included in the study in palliative care unit of University of Health Sciences Bursa Yuksek Ihtisas Research and Training Hospital. Patients medical records were analyzed retrospectively for nosocomial infections, chronic diseases, presence of decubitis ulcers, opioid use, enteral, parenteral feedings, mortality and antibiotic cost.

In this study, we aimed to define anxiety and depression rates in Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) patients (under treatment) with similar age and gender; to compare the obtained data with each other and healthy control group; and also we aimed to investigate the relationship between human leukocyte antigen B27(HLA-B27) in AS, Rheumatoid Factor (RF) and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) in RA with anxiety and depression.

Method: 46 patients with RA, 43 patients with AS and 29 healthy volunteers were evaluated with Beck Depression Inventory (BAI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI).
