Objectives: Utilizing five questionnaires to survey university students during the COVID-19 epidemic, the current study sought to evaluate internet addiction and associated risk variables.

Background: Despite the advances in medical science, the epidemic of infectious diseases has faced serious challenges to the health system of countries, so the purpose of this study was to identify obstacles and management strategies to prepare for planning preventive measures and better care in dealing with infectious diseases in hospitals.
Method: The current qualitative research was of the grounded theory type, which was conducted in 2023. The semistructured interview questions were obtained from experts.
Background And Aim: Psoriasis is a prevalent chronic inflammatory skin condition, and the Mediterranean diet is often recommended for its health benefits, particularly its ability to mitigate chronic inflammation. This study sought to examine the extent to which psoriasis patients adhere to the Mediterranean diet and to explore its correlation with the severity of their condition.
Methods: Seventy-one psoriasis patients and 71 age- and sex-matched healthy controls were enrolled the study and filled a standard questionnaire of adherence to the Mediterranean diet.

Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a prevalent complication of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, and a predictor of disease severity and mortality; furthermore, a prompt diagnosis and treatment of this complication may enhance COVID-19 prognosis. Therefore, we aim to investigate potential risk factors for SARS-CoV-2-associated AKI, including SARS-CoV-2 PCR cycle threshold value (CT value), which correlation with AKI is conflicting.
Methods: This case-control study included 110 hospitalized patients with SARS-CoV-2-associated AKI as cases and 110 random SARS-CoV-2 hospitalized patients as controls.

Background And Aims: Studies regarding the risk factors of prenatal anxiety disorders are inconclusive and sometimes contradictory. The current study aimed to define the prevalence and risk factors for anxiety disorders in women during pregnancy.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional and hospital-based survey of two public hospitals (Ayatollah Rohani and Yahyanejad) of inpatients/outpatients, obstetric wards/clinics, and four private outpatient obstetric clinics in the city of Babol.
Although immunodeficient patients are less prone to develop Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-mediated cytokine storm, secondary infections can cause serious complications in this vulnerable population. They are more likely to develop opportunistic infections that can mimic the symptoms of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Herein, we presented a 27-year-old male patient of SARS-CoV-2 infection, who was complicated with pneumonia (PJP), following treatment with rituximab.

A 32-year-old woman with a history of hypothyroidism and major depressive disorder was admitted with severe weakness and somnolence. She had tachycardia and hypotension, indicative of severe dehydration, and was treated with a vasopressor and sodium bicarbonate, but her clinical manifestations deteriorated. A high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan showed a patchy ground glass appearance with interlobular septal thickening, suggesting pneumonia.

The common side effects of COVID-19 vaccination were mostly self-restricted local reactions that quickly resolved. Nevertheless, rare autoimmune hepatitis cases have been reported in some vaccinated with mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. This article presents a young man who developed fulminant hepatitis a few days after vaccination with the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

Background And Aims: Although previous studies have reported some psychological factors to prevent the worry of vaccination against COVID-19 in pregnant women, the role of psychological self-care is unclear. The present study aimed to investigate the role of psychological self-care in pregnant women on the depressive symptoms, psychological distress, and worry of vaccination against COVID-19.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted during the peak of the Delta variant of COVID-19 in Babol city (North, Iran) from August to November 2021.
