Solitary fibrous tumours (SFT) were first described by Klemperer and Rabin in 1931. They are quite rare in the central nervous system and some histopathological or radiological similarities to meningiomas and haemangiopericytomas can lead to misdiagnoses as these tumours enhance homogeneously in postcontrast images, and even dural tail sign can be demonstrated. To date, only 10 tentorial SFT cases have been reported.
