Background and Objectives: Intradiscal injection of Condoliase (chondroitin sulfate ABC endolyase), a glycosaminoglycan-degrading enzyme, is employed as a minimally invasive treatment for lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and represents a promising option between conservative treatment and surgical intervention. Since its 2018 approval in Japan, multiple single-site trails have highlighted its effectiveness, however, the effect of LDH types, and influences of patient age, sex, etc., on treatment success remains unclear.

The Directigen Flu A + B kit, a rapid diagnostic device for influenza virus A and B was evaluated. The nasopharyngeal aspirates were obtained from 239 patients who visited our hospital, between January and March, 2000, presenting flu-like symptoms. Influenza virus AH1: 77 and AH3: 51 were isolated from 128 specimens and none from 111 specimens.

We report two cases of hydronephroureterosis of the upper moiety in the complete duplex kidney disclosed by urological examination for pyuria and hematuria. The first case was in a 64-year old female and the second case was in a 68-year old female. Urinary incontinence was not seen in either case.

Fourteen patients with incidentally diagnosed carcinoma of the prostate were reviewed. The frequency of the incidental prostatic carcinoma in our clinic was approximately 7.3% of 191 patients operated for benign prostatic hypertrophy.

We describe a case of primary adenocarcinoma of the bladder in an 18-year-old girl. She had no recurrence five years after operation. A young case is very rare because primary bladder adenocarcinoma are found mostly in old patients.
